The Birria tacos were soggy and not well seasoned. The beans and rice was meh. the salsa taste like some dish water maybe got into it. And the birria sauce was minimally seasoned oil. Memphis has wayyyyy better food.

We live about an hour north of Jackson but regularly make trips there either for business events or a day of shopping.
In all our years going to Jackson, I’d venture to say that we’ve encountered a restaurant that rivals just how good Tulum is.
During our last trip to town, we were looking for something different for lunch. My wife asked a friend for suggestions, and I Googled them. Both recommended Tulum Fresh Mexican Grill, so we decided to try it.
It took us a minute to realize that instead of being instantly seated, you walk up to the counter and order. Since it was our first time in, one of the friendly staff members suggested we grab a couple of menus at the counter, seat ourselves, and look over what they offered before going up to order. While we sat, she brought two buckets of chips and directed us towards their salsa bar. They had quite a few varieties to choose from, along with other accouterments.
Once we decided what to get, we placed our lunch order at the counter. Initially, I thought the prices were a little high for lunch, but that changed once our order was quickly delivered from the kitchen.
I ordered three of their crispy-rolled tacos with shredded beef. They came with a side of rice and beans.
We’ve been to our share of Mexican restaurants over the years, but Tulum sets itself apart from the rest. The service was fantastic, the staff were extremely polite and helpful, and the food was, to quote my wife, “Some of the best food I’ve ever had in Jackson.”
If you’re the type of person who likes to try something a little different or loves the taste of good Mexican food, this is the place to go.
I have a feeling Tulum Fresh Mexican Grill will become a regular stop on our trips to Jackson.

They have great customer service but the food is horrible. It doesn’t have any flavor at all. I wasted my money today. If I had known I would have just went to chipotle or moe’s. The queso and the rice bowl was not good at all. Meat not seasoned and it’s like they only gave me a spoon of cheese and a spoon of sour cream. The limes were so dry that no juice came out. will never ever eat here again. I’m a big foodie and I am big on presentation and taste.

I’ve had a lot of fast casual Mexican food before, and even a lot of sit down restaurant Mexican food, Tulum is easily one of my all time favorites from my 57 years, and I’ve only visited once. The flavors of the burrito I had were outstanding. My friend had a quesadilla and it was also excellent. They also brought a little pail of chips, and those were good, as was the salsas you could get at the salsa bar. About the only improvement this place could make is to add another soda machine. The line for getting a drink was sometimes deep. But the food, absolutely amazing and best around when it comes to Mexican. I’ll be back again very soon!

Excellent fully American taco experience. I had the Tilapia Tacos and Chori-Queso which were both great. The fish being flaky and having just the right amount of texture and the chips served are thick and have good substance alongside spicy Chorizo gently topping creamy queso. I love that they have a fresh salsa bar as well as an ACTUAL full bar that apparently just recently opened. The service was almost suspiciously fast and the Mint Mojito was far above par. One of the few places I’ve seen that actually assembled it correctly. I felt bad that I didn’t have any folding money on me to leave a tip but I will be coming back.

Had a great experience tonight. I’ve been on a Birria kick and wanted to give their spin a try – was not disappointed! Tried both the Birria tacos and nachos, every part from the meat to the consomé was delicious and prepared well. Love the caliente salsa and street corn too.
Service was awesome, we were taken care of while ordering, table was visited multiple times, and the food came out quickly. The whole time we were there people were coming and going, which is awesome to see. Eat local!

My Grandchildren, my husband and I love eating at Tulum. The food is so delicious! I love the Baja Shrimp Taco’s, they are amazing! We come to Tulum often. The workers are very kind and helpful.

I love Tulum’s fresh take on Mexican food – my usual is a chimichanga and I never leave feeling overstuffed.
The staff are professional and kind, and the food is fresh and tasty every time.
I will say – if you’re going for a margarita, get a flavored one (not lime). The lime on the rocks margarita is a bit weak on flavor. That said, they just recently opened the full bar, so it’s possible they’re still getting the balance just right.

This is a great place to go when you want delicious fresh ingredients. There are multiple menu items that can be made vegan if you leave off certain ingredients like cheese and the Xcaret sauce. When I order here I get delicious, satisfying meals that do not lack flavor or substance because I ordered them vegan. There is a nice area to sit outside and eat, and a salsa bar inside.
