My beef consumption has declined over the years, but Tulip Shop is the kind of place that makes it worthwhile to go against the grain and travel here from any part of the city for a burger. Our server warned us that the kitchen may take a while to prepare our food, but since the drinks arrived quickly and we had a comfortable place to sit, this wasn’t a hardship. The decor goes perfectly with the menu – kind of dark and dive-barish, but lacking a layer of grime/grease on either the food or the furnishings, and feeling very comfortable in ganeral. I can’t claim to be an expert on smash burgers, but the one I found at Tulip Shop had all the qualities that I was hoping for. You could count the number of onion rings in an order on one hand, but their size was truly impressive.

We went here on a Friday night and it was really busy! The staff made sure to let us know ahead of time that there was about a 45 minute wait for food. We sat down and had some dry January special drinks, and the time flew by! The smashburger was delightful, especially with the curry ketchup. What a cool flavor combo! The onion rings were also fantastic. I didn’t get any pictures of the food because we were too excited and woofed it down quickly. I’m not a pickle girlie so I took them off, personal preference.

Great burgers and fries! As a vegetarian and veggie burger connoisseur, I must say this place hits the mark. The smash-patty style leaves the edges crunchy and the veggie patty itself is very flavorful. The meat burgers are also quite good, I hear. The fries are phenomenal, shoestring style and crunchy with your choice of sauces. I always go for the queso too. Since the fries are a la carte they are a large portion, perfect for sharing. Highly recommend!

Stopped in for lunch and the food was absolutely delicious. It did take at least 45 mins for it to come out of the kitchen but sooo worth it. Dink selection was great and staff was VERY friendly.

Food was good the Tulip Shop Tavern, but onion rings fell completely flat and were almost flavorless with the thinnest piece of onion inside. Burgers and fries were good. Service was OK but took exceptionally long to get food.

This place consistently crushes it… the staff are always on point and quick with it. The food is legit and always hot and fresh. The cocktails are nothing wild and annoying just simple with a twist. They have a huge selection of liquor and enough beer to make you happy. Come here, drink, shut up, and enjoy yourself.

Get the double double smash burger and thank me later. It was quite possibly the most perfectly cooked smash burger patty I’ve eaten. Crazy good.
On top of the amazing burger, the rest of the experience was pretty solid, too. The onion rings were delicious, and the staff were very friendly as well. All in all, a solid spot that I’d gladly revisit.

Very tasty and affordable elevated bar food. We absolutely loved the veggie burger and fries and also the pretzel. Get the fry sauce!
Definitely sit in the patio — super warm and lots of space! Our server was wonderful and super friendly. Also a great spot for dogs! 🙂

I got the fairburger and the onion rings and everything was so delicious! The burger was a classic smashburger that hit the spot. The onion rings were my favorite, with a shatteringly crispy breading and perfect cook. I had a side sauce of the curried ketchup which was also delicious. On top of all that, the service was friendly and quick!

I drive 20 min for this burger, a few times a month.
Cocktails are great, staff is friendly, they’re open late.
For real “old-fashioned” table service.
Love the burger (so reasonably priced!) & wedge salad.
Onion rings & chicken wings are also great.
Food takes a while, so plan for that.
Before we were regulars we were always informed. Now they KWK.
My only gripe is no real GF options, so I can’t share the place with one of my besties.
