Food was reasonably priced, served fresh and hot in a reasonable amount of time. Pretty standard pub food – burgers and baskets. Walleye sandwich and chicken strips were good, but the brisket was disappointing (extremely tough, sliced with the grain – off flavor, may have been corned beef). Great service, nice atmosphere. Balanced ambience makes it easy to have a conversation (unlike the place across the street). We would recommend stopping.

Came for the prime rib special. Ordered medium rare. What I got was an over cooked gray slab of meat. Pointed this out to the server, making sure I knew it wasn’t her fault. No apologies from the manager or cook, nothing done to discount my bill. Meal was $30 which included a vegetable and baked potato. To make matters worse, I saw a nice juicy red slab go out to another customer.

The service is good, the atmosphere is good, the fries and the bacon were EXCELLENT, but the burger patties were hands down the worst piece of meat I’ve ever had. They were so lean lean I almost fell out off my bar stool. These would make 93/7 ground beef seem fatty. They also had no seasoning and appeared to be both pre-formed and freezer burned. I ended up scraping the cheese off and making a BLT-cheese, which was actually quite good because if the amazingness of the bacon. I heard other groups talking about their wings so I would maybe go back for those or really anything that wasn’t a burger.
