Great little beer garden with lots of interesting beers on tap from local and nearby breweries. My only complaint is that they really need to up their snack game since the food trucks aren’t allowed anymore. You need more than popcorn with/ during your beers. My husband and I were there recently and only stayed for one round because there was no food available (pizza place next door has gotten weird with the menu and regularly has a 60+ min wait).

One of our favorite places in Tucson! Anytime we have visitors, we make sure to stop by Hop Shop for its delicious beers and fun environment! The pizza place next door is amazing and you can bring it over. You can also bring your own food, games, etc. Oh, and there are usually many dogs outside 🙂 Highly recommend!

This was my first time going to the Tucson Hop Shop. I departed wondering why I hadn’t been there before. This is a nice casual environment with great staff and service. The local pizza was outstanding. Their is a good selection of crafted beers.

We love going here! You can have a drink there or choose from a huge selection of individual drinks to go. They sometimes have live music and best of all, they allow dogs! you’ll usually see the same people that work there which is nice. They seem like a super cool community. There’s a pizza place next door, where we first order then find a comfy place outside the shop shop. Sometimes it’s hard to find parking but there’s always room on the street.

I’ve dropped another star, actually, all the stars. Your customer service stinks. The same guy from below, when asked if Ciao Down next door still serves pizza answered “go read it on Reddit.” Another one gave me a dirty look when my dog was barking, while she could see how I’m trying to calm it down cause it was annoying me as well. In short – please hire staff that has some customer service skills. I’m not a serial complainer, but the current staff is rude and unfriendly. I guess I’ll start visiting AZ Beer House more often.
Original review from earlier in the year:
Beer selection is great, vibe is nice. The current crew working the place is not as great as the initial crew was. I made a comment about the music the other day, and the guy just said “it’s your problem.” Please feel free to acquire some customer service skills. I sure miss the previous crew, always greeting you with a smile, not with a Gen Z crappy attitude.

For years a friend and I would visit for the friendly staff and Ambiance. The current staff has done a fabulous job into fooling the owner into believing they possess customer service skills and professionalism. The Catty bartender Doyle slammed the free samples because we were imposing on his precious time conversing with friends/regulars. Javier was rude and also unprofessional. Any new customers BEWARE! Guess I’m joining the other reviewers at the Arizona Beer House .

Great atmosphere but the downstairs bartender is super rude. The guy, the lady was nice. Also soooo many beers but only one light beer. That may not be their thing but could definitely use more diversity

Great place for craft beer. Ciao Down pizza next door is awesome.
Both places have gluten free and gluten reduced options.
Dog friendly on the patio, with a large selection of water bowls.
They have no problems with well behaved people, dogs, and children.

Awesome selection and vibes, usually has live music in the later evenings. Only downside is that it’s so great for larger groups and folks actually know it so it can get packed! NA selection is also solid.

My friend and I brought our dogs. Nice outdoor patio, great beer choices. We also shared a pizza from next door and next will try the gelato shop. Highly recommend. Just a few minutes from the Brandi Fenton Memorial dog park.
