We recently visited Tucanes and absolutely loved it. I went with my wife and her sister, and we all enjoyed a delicious, authentic Costa Rican meal. The highlight for us was the gallo pinto — perfectly seasoned, comforting, and true to the flavors you’d expect back home. It tasted just like something you’d enjoy in a Costa Rican kitchen on a Sunday morning.
The service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere made us feel immediately comfortable. Portions were generous, everything was freshly prepared, and the presentation showed real care. It’s rare to find a place that captures the genuine spirit of Costa Rican cuisine, but Tucanes truly delivers.

Every time I go in, I order my favorite, Gallo Pinto. Personally, I prefer it with carne con salsa; I’m not a chicken or steak girl. An amazing restaurant with a pleasant environment and tasty meals.

This restaurant deserves a 6.0 stars. I never ask for the cook/chef but I did. He came out to greet us and was so nice, so humble and I’m glad we put a smile on his face after discussing with him how great the scenery, customer service, and amazing food. It taste like I was at Costa Rican. I mean amazing and will return with my family. Beautiful
