Excellent food. Went there for the buffet for the first time on a Saturday. Everything was delicious. The ceviche was great. We ordered the picarones and churros a la carte. We liked them a lot too. Daniel was our server and he was super kind and courteous. My family and I will definitely be back.

The atmosphere and food were amazing! The buffet had a lot of typical Peruvian dishes that were very fresh and savory. I truly enjoyed the picarones and the Tres Leches desserts for their authentic taste and texture. There was a live entertainer whose personable and entertaining personality made the atmosphere lively and engaging. He also sang a mix of Peruvian music that took you back to a time in Peru when you shared with family and friends. The staff were very friendly and diligent. I recommend this restaurant and will return with my family and friends.

We’ve enjoyed Chilcano’s since they opened in Seven Corners and finally tried the newly opened Fairfax location! My mom is Peruvian, and my family and I have been to Peru multiple times, always missing the food most when we return to the US. My husband and I had Pisco Sours but with maracuyá (delicious), and the kids got lemonade, which was fresh! We started with the anticuchos (beef heart), which we all devoured. My 8-year-old assumed it was steak, and it was so tender and smooth that she couldn’t even tell it wasn’t – she ended up eating half of the appetizer. I had Ceviche and my husband had Lomo Saltado. If you can handle spicy, be sure to get your entree with the rocoto sauce! Both of us really enjoyed our entrees, and the ceviche tasted fresh. The kids shared 1/2 chicken and two sides, and it was plenty. I tried the chicken, and it had really great flavor. To end, we all shared picarones…they were freshly made and HOT, but sooo good!

My experience at Chilcanos Fairfax was extremely disappointing. I ordered the arroz con mariscos and it was honestly terrible. The rice was so overcooked that it had the consistency of porridge, yet at the same time it had a very unpleasant gritty texture. The dish was impossible to enjoy, and I couldn’t finish it.
The waiter’s service was good and attentive, which is the only positive aspect of the visit. However, the overall hygiene was unacceptable. The tablecloth was dirty, and even worse, napkins from the previous customers were still on the table when we were seated.
Poor food quality combined with clear cleanliness issues made this a very bad experience. I will not be returning to Chilcanos Fairfax.

Stopped in on a Saturday for brunch… No other customers at that time, but it started to get busier after noon time… wished they had pointed out the buffet, since I had never been… But I ordered off the menu and had a pork sandwich with two fried eggs… bun and ingredients were excellent.
Big screens everywhere – maybe too much video advertising at this time of day – but it’s major business seems to be nightclub entertainment and special events.. I will be back for more explorations of the menu or buffet – everything was very good.

Everything was delicious. My girlfriend wanted the aji de gallina and they didn’t have it. A bit unfortunate considering it’s one of the classic Peruvian dishes. Good atmosphere though, and the service was good as well.
