What a welcomed surprise! Went for the first time on a Friday evening to meet family. Wasn’t sure what to expect in a bowling alley as you typically don’t get the greatest food selection. As it turns out, this place is a hidden gem. One of their specials was a grilled pork chop. Was prepared perfectly and was bursting with flavor. All of the sides were excellent and while a very casual atmosphere, exceptional care and service the entire evening. Will definitely be back!

Been hearing about the supposedly great steaks at Tubby’s for over 15 years and finally decided to give it a shot – it did not disappoint! Had an onion tangler for an appetizer, which I highly recommend. We ordered the Ribeye and the New York Strip, both of which were cooked to perfection. We both preferred the ribeye, but the strip was excellent as well. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. I can’t believe I waited so long to try this place. Their steaks are far superior to the Pine Room. I definitely recommend Tubby’s and I will be back.

I have lived here for about 10 years and I kept hearing about Tubby’s. It is in fact a little St Charles Gem. The prices, portions and quality of food is really good. Ribeye was great, not too fatty and cooked to perfection. The salmon was well seasoned and tasty. The wings were really meaty and good. We will for sure be back to order again.

We had lunch – I ordered a steak sandwich with peppers, onions and swiss, very good. Husband ordered the breaded pork cutlet sandwich, also good. We plan on trying their pizza and wings next visit!

The fish fry we were going to ran out of fish, but Tubby’s saved the day! The tilapia and catfish dinners we had were great. Our appetizers of onion straws and mozzarella cheese sticks were great too! We always have a great meal at Tubby’s.

I come to Tubby’s at least once a week, for a meal and a few beers. The steak is the best in the area at a reasonable price, and I often come by myself and just eat at the bar. The pizza, wings, and burgers are also as good as you will find anywhere, and its a friendly, home town atmosphere. The owners are often there, and making sure everything goes well!
