Tubby’s is one of those places that just makes you glad to live in Maine. We stopped in today and everything was fantastic. Our lobster rolls were fresh flavorful and perfectly prepared. The ice cream was cold and refreshing— Perfect on a hot summer day. Their use of fresh, Top quality ingredients really shines through in the end product.
The staff is welcoming and friendly from those who take your order to those working behind the scenes. We chatted a bit with the owner who is such a lovely person—-who not only cares about the quality of the food they serve, but about the customer experience as well. It is a local favorite for a reason!!

Although a few benches are available by the order counter, regulars are more likely to be found sitting out back by the lake.

Friendly-cute spot-usually quiet just beware of annoying tourists in the summer. Unique menu. Great portions. We come multiple times a week during the summer.
It’s small and quaint but they have a full variety just like the bigger ice cream spots in the area as well as a little food menu.

Amazing ice cream. Good food. I wish they would tell you the prices of the lobster roll. We got 2 ice cream cones, a blueberry float, a hot dog and a lobster roll and it was $60! That won’t deter us from coming back though. Long time staple and always a good time at Tubbys. So good I forgot to take pictures of everything!

My boyfriend had heard about this ice cream spot & wanted to try it on our roadtrip from Vermont to Maine. I can’t remember which flavors he had but he had a Mother Bear sized cone ($5.25) & I had a 2 scoop Lemon Italian Ice Cone with sprinkles ($6.75). We ate our sweet & frozen treats by this little river behind the ice cream shop & it was a very much needed relaxing spot for us after a crazy long day full of driving.
