The first Tubby’s Sub Shop was founded in 1968 by Richard Paganes, who at the time was 21 years old, in the Detroit suburb of St. Clair Shores at 13 Mile and Harper. The popular and now famous Tubby’s Subs with their unique flavor, high quality products and generous portions quickly became a Detroit area favorite. Richard’s pioneering vision and unwavering commitment to quality products and customer service are the cornerstones of Tubby’s success.

Out of all the locations within 50 miles, this is by far the best location. The pepper steak and cheese we love so much is always made to perfection every time. Try it with grilling the tomatoes in with and your taste buds will thank you. We will never go anywhere else but this location from now on. The staff is very nice and helpful. Great job and keep it up!

Really friendly employees 🙂 greeted right away and our order was taken with a smile. They also walked around asking people how they were, etc. even talking to regular customers I noticed. This location also served us fresh and delicious subs and hot sides. So glad this is the nearest tubbys location to my house, I have to drive kind of far (16 miles)but this location is definitely worth it. Thank you employees! They all deserve a raise!
