Tubb’s is the perfect stop over when passing by on Rt95.
This local place is just far enough for most people not from the area to never know Tubb’s exist.
I was sure glad to scope out this place and it is actually only about 8 minutes off 95!
I didn’t even try the she crab soup and many other exciting menu items, but am very pleased to say I was very happy with the
” butter grouper” fresh catch,
the shrimp and grits,
flounder po-boy, and bang bang shrimp!
Although the andoulie sausage included with the shrimp and grits dish was not the best combo imo, because the skin on the sausage was too tough. ( I left the sausage and really enjoyed the shrimp and grits!)
I was solo and made two stops one visit I sat at the bar and the other I took out.
The server did not know of the happy hour drink and food specials so I missed out on that, unfortunately!
Overall this was a great find …the server was otherwise pleasant, it was clean, and comfortable!

We were traveling home from the Labor Day weekend and decided to stop here after hearing great things here in other reviews. This restaurant was amazing! We were greeted at the door with a smiling face and seated right away. The waitress was happy, talkative and answered all our questions about the menu. She also offered suggestions to us as we ordered. Our order came out fast and hot. Let me tell you the food was beautiful, hot and so flavorful! My husband used to be a chef at the famous Jasper White Summer Shack in Boston and he was wholly impressed with this restaurant. Our order included hush puppies and we were presented with this amazing dish full of dips and spreads. Included on the plate was this amazing butter that we put on the hush puppies. AMAZING YUMMO!! Honey lime butter!!!! It was so good we asked for them to sell us a tub of it and they did! Stop here for a relaxing easy yummy meal while you travel through South Carolina you won’t regret it!
We didn’t eat outside in the bar area but it was so cool they turned an old airstream into the bar! I imagine night/dinner meals are fun in there!

Very tasty seafood (we especially like fried shrimp),
you have to try brussels sprout (just add a little salt),
good service (always helpful employees) and owner came out to make sure “everything is good” (thank you for attention to your guests).
And you can be seated in a restaurant or shack (you can see in the picture that there are 2 buildings).

Was traveling and decided to go here for dinner. Took only ten mins to get seated and the place was hustling. Service was top notch and couldn’t have been better but then came the food! Calamari was a large portion and the knockback paired beautifully. Shrimp and grits then showed me their mettle. Grits cooked perfectly with slightly spiced sausage and great shrimp plus the etouffee blessed my taste buds perfectly. Definitely want to come here again and cannot recommend it enough!

My wife and I went on a Friday at supper time. I expect a wait. We waited about 15 minutes for a table. Within a couple minutes of being seated, our server was there. She took good care of us. We didn’t have to wait on our food long at all. Very impressed with there speed. Every bit of food was piping hot. Not something you always get. Food was great! I had the Salmom BLT. I don’t prefer their blackened seasoning but it was a good piece of fish and cooked perfectly. My wife at the shrimp perleau and it was great!

Everything about this place was wonderful! The crab cakes Rockefeller were to die for! She crab soup was wonderful and very creamy,. Service was great and very attentive! Doesn’t look much from the outside but food is amazing! Be coming back-

We’ve been traveling from Arizona back to North Carolina and desperately needed a seafood fix! We opted to sit inside vs. on their covered porch because there wasn’t a wait. The hostess and wait staff were both friendly ! I had fried shrimp and oysters. The oysters were small, but tasty. Shrimp were good size and without much breading which I prefer. The collards were not my fave. Grilled corn was good. My husband had friend shrimp and same sides. He ate everything. But he always does ! The hush puppies and the lime butter, now, that was my favorite- must get the lime butter !! They were out of key lime pie so passed on dessert. Would def stop in if I was in the area again.

We like to try independent restaurants when travelling the Interstates. This one is well worth the 10 minute detour.
I’ve tried a few southern cooking places and they’ve been fine. This one does really, really tasty variations. Tubb’s Club may be the best sandwich I’ve had anywhere – spicy, flavourful, quality ingredients, and lots for the price. My wife’s scallop dish was cooked to perfection.
It was pretty quiet when we were there late on a Monday evening. Staff were attentive, the service was fast and the friendly owner even came to our table to see how we liked it.

What a great place to go and have a meal. The staff is so friendly. Started out with the hush puppies, they are awesome. Got a bloody Mary, those also really good. Order the pork belly sliders and the bang bang chicken. Bang bang chicken was really really good. The pork sliders I would say were average. I still give this place a 4.5 if I could.
