Tuanjai has become our destination for Thai food from the first day we tried their food. It is like going home for a home cook meal. The owner/cook is very warm and checks on everyone once she has the chance to have a break in cooking like we became a family. The food is just topnotch, every dish I tried became a favorite. Definitely one if not the best Thai restaurant we have tried not just in New Mexico (where they rank in the top 10) but in the US. We have been to 50 states so that says a lot.

Do yourself an enormous favor and go here. I ordered the Pad Prik King and Panang with enough Jasmine Rice to soak up all those leftover insanely delicious liquids. I wasn’t even ten bites in when I had to call back that sweet wonderful girl and double all my portions. I went crazy on her food. Thank you so so so so so so much, for absolutely everything!!!!!!!!! I’ll be seeing you at least twice a week!!!

My friend and I stopped in on our road trip for lunch. It was neat, clean, attractive, and the menu was easy to choose from. The food came in takeaway containers for now (new management, apparently) and WOW. I had chicken fried rice and my friend had the pad kee mao (apologies if I spelled that incorrectly). He said his was utterly delicious, and my fried rice was some of the best I’ve had. Fresh veggies, great flavor, I could taste all the ingredients. Rice also fried perfectly. It was so much, I had to wrap it up and take half with me! Would definitely stop here again. Note it’s mostly street parking, but well worth a little walk.

Warman Hall

This is a wonderful little Thai restaurant. It has changed hands a few times but the current owner has been the cook for quite some time. I like how they’ve changed the business model. It’s now counter-order and everything is served in to-go packaged containers. They still have tables that you can eat on location. I highly recommend any of the Curry dishes. On this trip I had the curry catfish. It was wonderful!

I was very pleasantly surprised to find such great Thai food pretty much in the nowhere. The place was obviously family owned and they were excellent at what they do. We had multiple dishes and Thai coffee and all of it was great.

The one thing we didn’t love is that all the food comes in styrofoam containers, even if you’re eating in the restaurant. They’re so small that I fully understand that they may not be able to afford staffing a dishwasher, but it would be great if they at least switched to paper containers. Other than that everything was excellent.
