We just landed at Fort Lauderdale Airport from California around 1:30 AM on Thursday, craving a pan con bistec. I grew up in Hialeah in the 80s and always enjoyed this sandwich during my visits, but never after hours. After finding this spot on Google, which is open 24 hours, we were hopeful but cautious.

To our delight, Dayana and Justina welcomed us warmly and quickly prepared our sandwiches. They were absolutely delicious! I had never tried them with cheese before, but it was a fantastic addition. The staff were so friendly that they even treated us to a cafecito colada and took photos of us. We joked that they should open a restaurant in California, as there isn’t much competition there.

I was amazed to learn that this place has been around for over 40 years—what a legacy! If I could give them 10 stars, I would.
Just a heads up: bring cash or use the ATM inside.

Thank you, Dayana and Justina, for making our experience unforgettable and will refer my friends and family to visit!!

I went to Tu Pan to buy a pan con bitec
and the prices were ridiculous. They wanted to charge $34 for two sandwiches, and then an extra $4 just for more mayo. That’s insane for what you get. The food might be okay, but those prices are not worth it at all. Definitely not coming back — feels like they’re overcharging big time.

On top of that, they only take cash, and if you don’t have any, you have to use their ATM that charges a fee.

The legendary king size sandwich! This steak sandwich is definitely a treat. The steak ham, egg, onion, shoestring fries, tomatoes all make this sandwich so good. You can easily split amongst 2 to 4 people and it’s under $20. This simply is a pick up n go no where to eat. Good news it’s open twenty four hours.

Lots of locals here so you know it’s authentic. Got the pan con bistec and pan de tortilla. Huge, filling and delicious! Got that Hialeah style. They cook it right in front of you. Cash only but they got atm on site. Highly recommended!

The best pan con bistec in the area. Fast service, great location, taste is amazing! Only missing is outdoor tables and chairs.

The pan con bistec was drastically over cooked. Steak was hard and the bread was like 2 day old cuban bread that got thrown in a plancha.

I dunno how you mess up something as simple as a ham and cheese sandwich but then putting a pound of ham into the sandwich made me mad enough to throw the whole thing away. Like I understand the sandwich is half a loaf of Cuban bread but bro a pound of ham?!!!! Maybe the other sandwiches are good but man this put me off from ever coming back. Plus it was expensive as heck, 19 usd for a sandwich and a juice! Cash only btw

Horrible. We ordered 7 pan on bistec. The bread was super hard, steak super bad and cold. Two ladies were there working. Horrible, everything went to the trash when we got home. We didn’t even realize till we got home.
