If you’re looking for good sushi and a good atmosphere, this is the place for you!
It was a Friday night in downtown Greenville so I was expecting a slow service night. Our server was hopping but kept up with us
Loved the vibe and location.
My only complaint is the minimum group size for reservations is 6. We wanted 4.
We were seated around 10:20 PM. It took about five minutes for the waitress to come over, drop off small dishes, and walk away. She later returned to take our drink order, then disappeared again for another 5–6 minutes before bringing the drinks. After that, she was gone for over 10 minutes. When I checked my watch, it was 10:42 — more than 20 minutes since we had been seated.
While she was gone, my daughter-in-law noticed orange residue on multiple small dishes. My son’s plate had something green on it. These dishes were clearly dirty. When the waitress finally returned around 10:50, she tried to replace only one dish until I told her to take all of them. When she came back with replacements, one sauce bowl was still dirty. My daughter-in-law handed it back, and the waitress had to take it again to be replaced.
We didn’t place our food order until close to 11 PM. After that, she disappeared again while other tables were being served. We waited nearly an hour with no food. The water I ordered with lemons tasted like straight tap water, and the Hummingbird drink was overly sweet and unpleasant, so I sent both back. Even getting sparkling water took another 5–6 minutes, despite our table being near the bar. My son drank his sweet tea and asked for a refill just to get the drink back with something floating in the glass.
About an hour into our visit, the dumplings ordered by my daughter-in-law and cousin finally arrived, even though everything was ordered at the same time. Our sushi came later, and the raw sushi was not cold as it should have been, which was concerning.
At 6:00 AM the next morning, I woke up with severe stomach pain after eating this food. Between the dirty dishes, repeated delays, improperly served sushi, and now getting sick, this experience was unacceptable. This was my first visit and absolutely my last.
Always a good experience
Ordered the “Tuna trio, Squid salad, Calamari , Backed mussels, Heart breaker,
Tiger roll” and a “Rock star” roll.
This was probably the most
delicious sushi I have ever had.
The food is always delicious
I’m recommended
Will come back
Edit to add… Still going here. Will always go here. Have been going since they were a tiny fraction of the space that they are now, will go until they are gone. Love this place and always will!! Tried the munchie roll this time, as a new roll, was not bad. Wouldn’t be my first order, also wouldn’t be the last. Definitely recommend the shrimp torpedo, red dragon, sweet potato or southern and Rudolph. But to be honest, any roll is fantastic!
