Ever Since I could remember, I already knew how to use a chopstick. Noodle has been part of my life. Ramen is always one my favorite and then it turned into my passion. I always want to challenge people’s perception of Japanese food …. I want to represent it to people in Downtown Frederick.
Hip option whipping up Japanese staples with a twist including rice bowls, ramen & tacos, plus sake.

Came in for dinner with my girlfriend. We started with the gyoza. Great pan, fried dumplings, and a good price on happy hour. We both got the chicken karagage Ramen. Ramen itself was delicious. Broth was very flavorful. Could have used some more chicken in my opinion.
Service was incredible. Food came out insanely fast. Good stop for some Ramen.

That bang-bang shrimp be bangin’, I was halfway through before taking a pic
And ooh, vegan shoyu so delicious.
Pink was so sweet and kind dealing with my questions for clarity about the menu because of my dietary restrictions. Definitely, a place to come back to.

Excellent spot right in downtown Frederick, perfect for right before going to a show at the MET. I really love the red curry ramen. Great flavor, great noodle texture, perfectly cooked ramen eggs, and the bamboo shoots (menma) are flavorful and tender and better here than anywhere else I’ve had them.

I am so glad my ex-husband was in the 1st restaurant that I walked into for lunch…because girl!!! Omg!! The food was so good! I was beyond full but couldn’t stop! Didn’t even take a breath between bites. My tsunami drink was really good too! I can’t say enough great things. The food and service were amazing!! Thank you so much!

Good for small group gathering in the town center.
Mainly small tables for 2, a big table for 6-8 and call to reserve is recommended.
Appetizers all great!
Busy around 1pm-2pm on Sundays.
They have only one high chair and one booster.

For this small town, this ramen is lit! The broth is rich and the noodles were ideal for the type of ramen. The takoyaki is good too with a chunk of octopus, feels like this one they made it in house.
The service was nice, attentive and they easily handle the number of customers with breeze.
Parking might be tricky, street parking or garage parking is available nearby.

The food was okay—not the best ramen I’ve had. The broth lacked depth and was missing the rich, authentic Japanese flavor I was hoping for. The atmosphere was nice and inviting.
Parking is street-only, but there’s a public garage about a 5-minute walk away.

Went a little over a week ago for my birthday. Got sat in a beautifully lit corner by the window. The food was excellent. The drinks were delicious and creative. Our whole experience was made perfect by our waiter Emerson. He was super kind and engaging. Definitely made the whole experience feel very comfortable and welcoming.

The curry kaarage is a must try, it’s absolutely delicious. Everything we tried was amazing, the dumplings, the ramen, appetizers and shrimp. Our server, Pink was amazing. Everything she recommended was delicious and she was super nice. Don’t skip this place if you’re in the area.

Tsunami Ramen is hands-down one of my favorite spots! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and full of life. Every visit feels like a treat. The spicy miso ramen is my go-to. Rich, bold, and packed with just the right amount of heat. The broth has so much depth, and the noodles are always perfectly cooked.
And don’t even get me started on the Bang Bang Shrimp; crispy, tender, and tossed in that addictive sauce that keeps you coming back for more. It’s the perfect appetizer before diving into a hot bowl of ramen.
The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is chill, and the food never disappoints. I also love how welcoming they are. If you love ramen (or just great food in general), Tsunami Ramen is a must-try! It’s my go-to place when I’m in Frederick, MD.
