The miso soup oft-included yet unlisted as so is very much welcomed, as no where else have I tasted it as authentic. It’s as if each serving receives a fresh piece of white miso, fresh “oniony” scallions, seaweed, and hand-cut tofu. I greatly enjoy the ika (squid) and soft shell crab tempura, una-don (broiled eel and egg over seasoned rice), the chirashi (fresh sashimi cuts over seasoned rice) the nasu-dengaku (deep fried eggplant coated in a miso/mirin paste I believe) and their soba noodles in a rich dashi with vegetable and fan tail shrimp tempura. The green tea is delicious, and seems to come automatically included, perhaps that’s just because I’m a regular? Don’t know, but don’t be put off by the reserved nature of the Japanese couple who runs it. They are quiet, but friendly, hard-worked and daaaaayum that woman can cook! x

Somebody said this place had the best miso soup they ever had. I feel bad for them if that’s the case.. Miso soup was way too salty and too many scallions. Salad and dressing were terrible, too much dressing and all you tasted was onion barely any ginger.

Small, cute place—like many in the Bordentown City center—and it appears that a couple own and operate it. They’re reserved, but that allowed us to enjoy our time and did not take away from the service. The ambience of the place is, in a word, peaceful. My wife and I stopped in for lunch. I had seen Tsukasa before when walking through town, and, when I was in the mood for Japanese, I suggested we try here. Excellent authentic food with good portions. We shared an order of gyoza for an appetizer; I ordered the Tsukasa Bento for a meal and my wife had the Okame Udon. We finished off the meal with Green Tea Mochi. Overall impression: excellent! I wish I worked closer so I could stop for lunch more often… We are definitely planning to go back for dinner soon!

Cute little hole in the wall run by what appears to be an older couple. Very quiet and clean inside. Ordered some sushi and some takoyaki. The sushi was excellent, but unfortunately, the takoyaki was a frozen and microwaved deal. Wasn’t expecting much from it to begin with since next to no places in NJ have takoyaki, so I can only dock them one star for it. Above average otherwise.

Although I am quite biased, between my shakes, overnight oats, sandwiches and deserts, I find myself here 5-6days a week, because it is simply delicious! Their lineup features something for everyone, but it is truly a Vegan paradise!

Loved this place, mom and pop restaurant, they are from Japan too imagine that. Sushi is so fresh we make noises when we eat, sushi pieces are just the right size

Quiet and unassuming. One of the best places to eat in Bordentown. Bring a bottle of wine, sake, or some beers.

Cute place. I appreciate the quality of the ingredients and the local produce. However, food is incredibly bland and ridiculously overpriced. I suppose this is place for folks to be seen rather to actually enjoy dining.

This place is the real deal. Japanese owned and operated! Very simple and authentic dishes prepared traditionally.
