The Highlights (Pros)
Super Fun Concept: The rotating belt is engaging and perfect for kids or sushi newcomers.
Excellent Service: Our server was attentive, friendly, and kept our drink refills coming quickly.
Nice Vibe: The design and atmosphere inside are pleasant.
Best Bite: Loved the bright, refreshing flavor of the Ponzu Citrus Roll.
What Could Be Better (Cons)
Lacking Flavor Depth: The sushi quality was a bit underwhelming. My wife and I found many rolls lacked the punchy, vibrant flavors we hoped for.
Bland Options: The Mango Roll was particularly disappointing—very bland, just tasted like coconut and rice.
“Safe” Fried Food: The fried options (like the Jalapeño Popper Roll) were decent but felt a bit typical and safe.
Bottom Line
If you’re looking for a unique dining experience or a great place to introduce sushi to your kids, Tsubame is a solid choice. If your priority is complex, top-tier sushi flavor, you’ll likely find the offerings a bit understated.
Speaking of wonderful things about this place is the service. I got a shown to a table by my waiter right as I walked through the door. He is a very prompt and caring red haired gentleman, I believe his name was Charles. He is what imagine King David from the Bible to look like. All I must say is owner/manager take notes on this model employee! He made our night and solidified not just my desire to return to this establishment but my acquaintances as well! Thank you for the multiple extremely prompt drink refills and perfectly timed jokes Charles. I couldn’t believe the detailed quality of his service. I felt like one of the 12 disciples at the last supper getting my feet washed by Jesus himself. What humility and service. We will be back undoubtedly to enjoy more sushi and hope Charles is once again our champion for the evening.
The highlight here is definitely the conveyor belt sushi. It’s such a fun and interactive way to enjoy your meal. Watching the colorful plates of sushi glide by adds an exciting element to the dining experience, and it’s easy to just grab whatever catches your eye. It’s a great way to try new things and keep the meal dynamic.
But let’s talk about the sushi rolls themselves – they are absolutely amazing! Tsubame’s rolls are expertly crafted, fresh, and bursting with flavor. While everything we tried was delicious, our absolute favorites were the Sweet Lady roll and the Vegas roll. The Sweet Lady roll was a delightful balance of sweet and savory, and the Vegas roll offered a fantastic crunchy texture and rich flavors.
If you’re looking for fantastic sushi in a lively and engaging setting, Tsubame Rotating Sushi is a must-try. You’ll leave satisfied and already planning your next visit!
Each dish is $3.59, so you can spend as little or as much as you want here. They just add up the plates on your table at the end. Definitely worth a visit!
Hi so I have Celiac and love discovering new places to eat. They have a variety of Gluten Free options and I’m super happy with the different options and it wad fun bringing my family here. So been here twice, and on both times I’ve had problems with my GF orders. I didn’t catch it on my last time and ate it and I’m super sick writing this. I do like the place and will go back just make sure what they give you is gluten free if you ordered it that way.
The staff was super helpful and the server was knowledgeable about the differences in the crab stick they use in the GF option.
Rotating sushi on the belts is gun to watch as people grab it off. You can also order and they will send you ones if you want something special.
All in all it was a good place I would recommend it. If you have celiac just be wary of the food.
We have been back to eat hear several times, and it still holds up! It is worth noting that they changed the way they price things. All plates on the lower track cost the same amount now, and only the prices on specialty upper track items differ from one another. We still end up paying around the same price each time–it is just a simpler way to calculate the bill now.
Such a fun place to eat! The experience was as good as the food. We were seated right away, despite there being quite a few other diners. The server kept our waters full and brought gluten-free soy sauce upon my request.
It was fun to watch the food go by on the little track and decide what to eat.
We ordered a few custom items that came out to our table on the upper track, which was neat, too. Each item we tried was delicious!
We had lunch, so we ate quite a lot but still only spent around $35 for two of us, and we shared 7-8 items. Plates are priced by what colors/designs are on the plate. For example, a green plate with pink flowers is $2.89. Others cost more.
It is a great place for a meal, or even just a quick snack before heading to the nearby movie theater, as you can eat as little or much as you want.
