I seen all the 4 and 5 star reviews and figured this BBQ might be okay, but unfortunately my experience wasn’t as good. Place is nice and service is good, but the food wasn’t the BBQ I was expecting. I will say the pork roll nuggets were excellent and seasoned well, but the brisket and pulled pork were very dry. Our server tried to bring us some that he thought would be better, unfortunately the brisket was the same and the pulled pork just had cooking juice poured on it, but it was still the same dry meat. He did give us a discount on the meats, but I thought in reality it should have been taken off completely since he had seen we didn’t eat any of it. The Brussels sprouts and collard greens were good, just not great. This restaurant has potential, but the BBQ has to get way better. As you can see from the bill, I paid quite a bit for food that I only ate half of.

Popped in for lunch and it was a great experience! Would definitely check out if looking for a bite after a movie. The cherry moonshine sauce was delicious, chicken and waffle sandwich was also a homerun and definitely had to get some fried pickles!

Let me start by saying I would have given them three and a half stars. We’ll start with the onion rings. They were good but I think the oil was too hot so when they dropped them in the breading was a little bit overdone and had a slightly burnt flavor and the brisket was to dry for my liking. Now let’s get to the good stuff. The ribs and the pulled pork I enjoyed. They were not overcooked was not dry and they had really good flavor. And last but not least, the cornbread that was probably my favorite part. It was airy and almost cake-like which was really good. The next time I’m in that area I might stop back again to try something different?

The ribs and brisket shine here. I like that they DO NOT do competition style bbq. The ribs are bolder flavored and I love hickory smoke. The cherry mooshine bbq sauce is unquestionably unique and tasty. I love the fire and ice pickles too. They nailed those. The burgers are overpriced but good. The pulled pork was average for me. Nothing I’ve had has been bad but the ribs and brisket are the winners. I had some good chili there too. I’ve been here at least ten times and I need to try some wings still. I wish this place well. Ps….the owner is a real cool guy. If anyone cooks BBQ this is a labor of love and he is passionate about putting out quality products. I’ve love to see some clod on special as it is rare to get around here.

Every time we come to this place, it looks more and more neglected. This place is poorly maintained and clearly this been a long time. Broken things everywhere, still water because pumps are broken, green ripped everywhere, weeds growing everywhere. It’s sad because it used to be a nice mini golf course. I guess it’s only the mini golf course at Monmouth Park for us now. Such a shame.

Ive been to TST multiple times in the past and loved it.
Dropped in for lunch, I was appalled at how filthy the interior area and kitchen areas was.
Ordered a burger and fries. White tasteless unseasoned hockey puck, on a below average low budget roll. Fries were cold and soggy with grease, and tasted like 2 month old fryer oil. Everything in the photo was $17, really?
Sadly, will not be returning.

Small course but fun mini golf set up. Brisket was a little dry but the sandwiches are on point. Wings were good, chili was good. Good board game selection as well.
