First, the food is good but be prepared to wait a hour if there are people there. There was only one waiter doing it all. Severing, bar tending, bussing, ect.. only thing she didn’t do was cook. If this place could learn how to complete orders better this review would of been higher.

My family drove by the town and treated my local friends in this restaurant. Although the decorations are not that good, but the service was great. We had 5 orders together, and my order was only 1 or 2 minutes late, but the manager felt bad about it and gave me a plate of curly fries for free. And the food was great too. I ordered a beef burrito for 12 dollars, it’s a big burrito with full of beef. If I got a beef burrito for 12 dollars in where I live, more than half of it inside would be rice and beens, but in this restaurant, it loaded with beef.

I went in and was ignored. I sat down and watched waitress grab menus for and seat some people who came in right after me. She attended to several other patrons as well. I tried to get her attention every time she passed by, but she would not even look in my direction; I was totally ignored. I went and got my own menu off the counter. When I was ready to order, I kept trying to get the waitress’s attention, but I was still invisible. I finally gave up and left. I can’t imagine what the waitress’s problem/attitude was all about. I am not some imposing, threatening, uncivilized-looking person. I have never been treated in such a way in any establishment. Unfortunately, the only other eatery in Ekalaka, The Wagon Wheel, was closed that evening. It was open the next morning, and what a difference from the TSO Cantina it was. The folks in The Wagon Wheel were welcoming and friendly–the true face of rural Montana–and I was cheerfully served. My experience at the TSO Cantina was the only negative, and it was a big one, to my stay in Ekalaka.
