We had their lunch specials and the serving was big..it came with free soup, the soup was the hot and sour, i finished it but i wasnt always a fan.
Parking is difficult, the anxiety having to park by the side of the road, and a lot of vehicles passing by..but no harm done.
We went there for lunch. While the place is nice enough, the service was truly terrible. The staff had loud conversations throughout the meal, and it was difficult to get the waitress’ attention. She got my order wrong, I corrected them and she repeated the correction, and still got me what she had originally said – and I didn’t want. My husband ordered an appetizer, but it was substituted for a different, more expensive one. The food itself was oily and pretty tastless, with probably less than 5-6 thin slices of protein. There were a lot of oily, half fried vegetable chunks. All piled on a small appetizer plate, with the food sliding off onto the table. Why not give us a normal-sized meal plate?
The lunch is offered with rice or noodles – they don’t mention anywhere that $1 is added for this, until we see the bill. Also added to the bill is the substantial tip – I suppose they have had more than a few unhappy customers and took precautions!
We got out of there feeling cheated, and will not return.
The food was delicious, fresh, and tasty, and the portions were huge!
My kids eat all the vegetables and love it!
When I am in town, I’ll come back for more!
Their prices have increased thru the years, but are still pretty reasonable, and the portion sizes have stayed the same, guaranteeing leftovers even just from a lunch combo.
The only thing I didn’t like was that they now charge a mandatory 15% “service fee” even on take out. As well as a few other hidden taxes and fees that Jack the price up significantly. I don’t love that. Give me the chance to tip, don’t force my hand in it, and not tell me until I get the check. Just rubs me the wrong way.
But other than that, my absolute all time favorite Chinese in the area. Can’t beat it
