Stopped in after skiing and honestly—Indian food in the French Alps felt like a weird combo… but it totally worked.

Food was light and clean, not heavy or creamy, and we left feeling good (not wrecked). Lentil soup to start was perfect, naan was light + crispy, jasmine rice was clean, and the mains felt like a more gourmet take on Indian than I’m used to.

Ambiance could use a bit of love—place feels a little bare and not super warm—but staff were friendly and prices were reasonable for the Alps. Would go back.

After a long day of skiing in Méribel, Trip to Spice was exactly what we needed. The food was fantastic, full of flavour, fresh and perfectly prepared. The warm atmosphere and friendly service made it a great place to relax and refuel after being out on the slopes all day. Everything we ordered was delicious, and you could really tell care went into both the dishes and the overall experience.

I was genuinely impressed and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Méribel looking for a great meal after skiing. We’ll absolutely be coming back next time!

We had a great meal at Tsaretta Spice. My 9 &10 year old kids have lots of allergies (dairy / egg / nut / sesame). We instantly felt that they ‘got it’. The staff were very knowledgeable about the dishes and I didn’t worry about a thing! Only our 3rd curry with the kids and it was a great success! Food was delicious – really tasty – highly recommend- I’d love to dine here again!!!

Authentic and tasty Indian food. Was a bit worried as we have tried Indian food in France before and it doesn’t seem to live up to the US. But wow! This place was 10/10 on all fronts.

Lamb nihari, chicken biryani and dhaba chicken were all very good!

The manager was fantastic and service was also good.

Another splendid evening with friends at Tsaretta. Hard to beat after an exhilarating day on the slopes. Despite the restaurant being full, as usual, the food and service were perfect as anticipated .Our table was available on arrival and the usual welcome awaited. Our waitress Hila made sure food and drinks flowed. See you soon

Second time visiting here. Decor has improved a lot since the last visit. This is a busy place to book in early to avoid disappointment. In terms of food, probably won’t be the best Indian you have had, we found the korma to lack taste (similar to a soup) and the chicken was rather dry. Will still return again because it is decent grub but quality could be improved. We found a stray garlic naan on our bill so be sure to check before you pay. Highly recommend as it is one of the best restaurants in the area.

We ordered a takeaway- the food arrived cold with no labelling so we didn’t know what was in 8 packages. They also forgot to send rice which arrived later but restaurant still felt it reasonable to charge for this having spoiled our meal. This was an over priced rip off

I’m not sure where to begin. I walked in at about 8.30 pm and ordered takeout. It took a painstaking 40 minutes to prepare. They said the delay was down to two large groups seated before me, so they served the 30 people seated comfortably for the evening before me, who had ordered two mains and were sitting on a barstool.

The popadom looks like they’re from a crisp packet off a supermarket shelf, the naan bread looked microwaved and has a mushy texture, and it’s the first mashed saag aloo I’ve tried to eat. There are four pieces of chicken in the Korma covered in what looks and tastes like packet sauce which was necessary because the chicken was so dry. The chicken Tikka, wow, you needed 2 pints of water to wash it down. The rice was a statement to say, “How dare you order one rice between two, so we’re going to fill the container halfway.

I don’t get how others have reviewed it so highly. The food in ski resorts, Meribel in particular, is woeful and overpriced (this mess costs €80), but people just seem to accept it.

Anyway, it’s the only Indian food in the area, so if you can’t wait until you get home, it’s your only choice. My advice is to wait a few weeks and go elsewhere.

Tiny neat restaurant with a lovely decoration has Lots of veggie options, well-described menu with all details about Gluten, Végétarian and Dairy even spice rating and a good wine list.
The ceiling is a bit low and all the tables were close to each, so it was pretty noisy. And it took us 20min to order our foods. (no one came to our table) But foods were absolutely tasty!
We strongly recommand Chou-Fleur Manchurian and Kathrika Masla. Garlic Naan and Cheese Naan were great as well. Hope to have a butter naan in the futur. 🙂
