The food was amazing. Honestly, you could put on a blindfold, point at the menu, and whatever your finger lands on is going to be delicious. The owner was incredibly sweet, which made the experience even better. I’m definitely going back!
If I had one small suggestion, it would be to expand the space and bring on a few more staff members, they deserve the growth.

This place was so good! I’m always looking for a good seafood spot. I had the shrimp rice, collard greens and fried whole snapper. My husband had the fried Jumbo shrimp and fries. The owner also suggested the blueberry cornbread which was delicious. The service was outstanding. We will definitely be back to try more items on the menu.

I visited this restaurant on 10/18 and arrived at 5:15 PM. I didn’t get to place my order until around 6:15 PM, and we didn’t receive our food until about 7:15 PM. This was easily one of the most unorganized restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. It looked like there was a major backup with orders, and they even had to stop accepting online orders.
During that entire time, only about four people in front of me were able to order. That means it was taking roughly 20 minutes per person just to place an order, even though the line was out the door. Something in their ordering or kitchen system is clearly broken because there’s no reason guests should be waiting that long just to be acknowledged.
When we finally got our food, we ordered two entrées and a few sides. Unfortunately, everything was pretty underwhelming. The greens, mac and cheese, and yams didn’t have much flavor. The best thing we had was the fried shrimp. Especially considering we got there at 5:15 and didn’t eat until 7:15, the food really needed to be jaw-dropping to make up for the wait, but it just wasn’t.
This also doesn’t seem to be a one-time issue, as it appeared that the delays started earlier in the day and continued throughout the night. Something in their process really needs to change. I’ve seen good reviews on here and on TikTok, so I’d be willing to give them another try, but I’ll probably choose a weekday to avoid whatever happened today.

I have to agree with another review I saw for this place. I think you could put a blindfold on and pick anything on the menu and it would be amazing! You get generous portions on the seafood. Tried the salmon, scallops, shrimp, and blackened catfish and they were all delicious. They do their cornbread and hush puppies a bit different than what you might expect from ‘traditional’ recipes but are both definitely worth trying. Great place! Will definitely be back.

Even though my calamari was accidentally left off my initial order, the experience more than made up for it. The grilled salmon burger was absolutely divine—so mouthwatering that I couldn’t even pause to snap a picture before diving in. The flavors were fresh and perfectly balanced, leaving a lasting impression. As visitors from South Carolina, we felt warmly welcomed, and this restaurant truly became a highlight of our trip. I can’t wait for the chance to return whenever we’re in town again. It’s the kind of place that feels like a little gem you’re lucky to find.

Had the whole red snapper, really good. Okra cooked perfectly, I prefer a little more salt on my Okra, but it was perfect. Mac and cheese is really good. Smaller sized place but plenty of seating if it’s not busy. Overall, excellent place.

First impressions………..not one single imperfection. The food was spectacular. We tried almost everything on the menu except the seafood boil bag. The was superb and the mac and cheese beautiful. Im so proud of this staff. They rocked. All I can say is get ready for bed after that. The red snapper….thats it thats all. That’s the post. I dont normally do reviews,but this location was deserving of a shout out.

Seeing food reviews on social media does not always hold true. However, TrYSeafood did not disappoint. Everything we ordered was delicious. We ordered flounder, wings, yams, okra, Mac-n-cheese, plantain, and the honey butter cornbread. Service was great as well. We will certainly return to dine again.

My husband and I ate here yesterday and the food was fantastic! The young lady and young man at the counter were both gracious and attentive. The young man knew the menu well and provided great suggestions. The food was all seasoned very well. I had the fried whiting, collard greens, plantain, and the cornbread. We shared the strawberry lemonade because it was served in a large container. My husband had the fried oysters and a small seafood boil. They did not have a lot of seating but we ate inside. They offer to go as well. Let me just say that we would go again. Pictures do not do the food any justice.
