December 2025 Takeaway visit at this local BBQ joint A solid selection of various meat and meal options to chose from with sizeable rice and pasta accompaniments. Meats are tender abd flavorful. Good price point and friendly counter service.

Ordered 2 plates yesterday for late lunch. Food was good but I was a little surprised at the price as it was not listed on the menu. $26 for the combo plate which was chicken and pork. $26 for the steak. Pasta was bland, but proteins were tasty. Trying to support local vs bigger restaurants/chain while here on vacation but def overpriced.

The guy taking orders was really nice! I got Smoked Meat and Peach Iced Tea for $32. The meat was decent as I’m not a big fan of it, but I thought the iced tea was too bland. It was missing flavour, but either way it was nice to try their food

Stopped along the highway and had a great meal of creamy garlic shrimp. It was almost more than two of us could eat. They were so pleasant and everything around and in the truck was very clean. Highly recommend it!

They claim to be the best BBQ on the island, and after getting a meal from them, if not the best, definitely in the top 3. The meat was delicious and tender. I will definitely be back for more! They’re one food truck in a collection of several food trucks. Seating is available on picnic tables in the center of the collection of trucks.

Trydis BBQ is hands down the best Hawaiian food I’ve had. Everything is cooked to order, the mac salad is incredible, and the smoked meat, chicken, and kalbi are must-tries. With white rice and double mac, it’s pure perfection.

My mother and I stopped by the food truck court today so we could support the local business while on our vacation. There were plenty options available but it was the friendly demeanor of the gentleman up front that caught our attention. I was a little hesitant about the prices at first to be honest but the portions are HUGE! I got the Ribeye steak paired with the creamy shrimp which also came with rice and gravy and a portion of the Mac salad. All of the food was phenomenal and we still had seconds for later that night at the hotel. The steak was perfectly seasoned and the very plump shrimp was indeed very creamy with a garlic sauce that was excellent. The Mac salad had great flavor and the rice with that heavenly gravy was to die for. My mother usually doesn’t go out of her comfort zone like this and I just want to thank Trydis for making today a pleasurable food experience. We will still be here until tomorrow evening and will most likely take an uber to visit again before heading back home. Mahalo
