The food was certainly worth wait. The staff were a little slow it was close to closing time but I was hungry after a day trip and I had to repeatedly prompt them to take my order and to bring the bill.
The food was amazing. Drink was amazing. The staff were very friendly just need to be more observant of customers and when they’re ready to order.
Not sure what the small plate with cucumber and cabbage was, it may help if you explain when you put it on the table.
I am a returning customer and I will return again.

Had the £15.95 lunch special, and maybe I chose poorly, but I didn’t love my starter or main sadly. I had the fried aubergines with panang sauce – the sauce was absolutely delish, I could have drunk it, but I found the batter on the aubergines to be really thick, bland and oily.
For main I went for the stir fry thick flat noodles with veg – the selection of veg was excellent and they were super fresh, but again I found it bland and not super spicy (which was indicated on the menu).
The curries my colleagues had looked good though, so I blame my choices! Good value though, and the staff were wonderfully friendly!

Excellent service and very very lovely staff! We booked on last minute for our Christmas Do and all really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The prices were also spot on and the quality of food to match. Would definitely recommend and will be visiting again ☺️

Tried Try Thai today in Manchester. Ordered two dishes from the lunch menu: Thai salad and the stir-fried chilli & holy basil with chicken. The spice was great, almost like in Thailand. Portions felt a bit small for the price, but the service was friendly and the location is very convenient. However, a service charge was added to the bill without asking, which I really don’t think is okay, it should at least be mentioned or confirmed before.

You may be wondering why I’ve scored so low for Try Thai. Even though the food, service and atmosphere had ranked highly. Well, it’s one disgusting act I can’t really get over.
First off. I’ve come to this place for many years, the taste and quality of the food has always been good. Never really had issues with that.
My low score comes from my last visit, in January. Meal was great, I went to the toilet (mens) and the unmistakable stench of an occupied cubicle met me as i entered the bathroom. To be blunt, someone was having a crap, which isn’t a crime or an issue at all. However…
I finished my business and turned to wash my hands. I heard the toilet flush and the door open, and a guy just walked straight out. Didn’t clean his hands or anything. It wasn’t just any old punter, it was one of the staff! Still had his gloves on too! I literally called him to ask why he didnt clean his hands but ignored me! I washed me hands and told the manager, who smiled and didn’t really care, give any reassurance or any form of apology
I can’t get the thought of being served food by a person with such poor hygiene. I will never be coming back, not unless there is a direct response and viewable action taken to ensure the bare minimum in food hygiene.
So be careful. One, or some of the staff don’t wash their hands. You have been warned.

Lunch date with my husband. We opted for their Lunch 3-course menu for £15.95. It was very busy when we reached there and luckily we had booked a table.
Good range of dish options. We ordered Garlic Spare Ribs, Thai Spicy Salad, Stir-fry Chilli & Holy Basil Crispy Belly Pork, and Green Curry Pork to share; a coffee and a green tea.
Everything was very good (portion size, textures, and flavours). Nothing to fault. Highly recommend this lunch menu in Chinatown.

Great Thai option in Chinatown Manchester. Service was kind and fast. We had the lunch option, but be careful to check the spice levels of each plate, the chilli’s might make you regret your choice. The food was in generous portions, the king prawn spring rolls are a must.

Try Thai has been my favourite restaurant for many years. The food is always absolutely gorgeous. If you like spicy food, I personally recommend soft shell crab with chilli and holy basil. Accompany it with sticky rice and you’ll feel like you’re in heaven.
