This sushi restaurant inside the Hyatt Regency Santa Clara is pretty good. We enjoyed the sashimi and sushi, and we were also able to order off the main lobby bar/restaurant menu too.

Fresh sushi, generous portions and friendly service. Everything tasted great and the prices were fair. A solid spot for a casual sushi meal. I will be back.

The sashimi is nice. I ordered sashimi salad, the combination of the soy sauce, the ebiko, fish and leaves made a right taste in my mouth
The price is not cheap, it is a hotel resto however.

Very expensive restaurant wit service worst than a fast food one.
The chopsticks are the cheap wood ones that have splinters., soya sauce in small packets that will flow in all directions when broken to get the sauce.
The waiting is extreem half hour for somone to ask you what you want another 45 minutes to get your food and another half hour to pay.
The food is not what the names say, but they can choose what naming system they want so I am not complining about it.
Is not amazing but is not bad also. It is not up to the price.

Rubber fish. Chef was clueless. They brought in another chef to help him and he had to teach him the basics. They need to shut down. Seriously, stay away!

Good salmon sushi and good warm but cheap sake. They do reduce their menu by a lot for any late night eating so don’t go by the items online. They really only stick to simple sushi at night. You can order food from the sister restaurant in the lobby (which is just American cuisine) and drinks. Good service though!

The sushi came out quickly which was nice, but the rice was just okay. The Levi maki was pretty good with a lot of fun flavors, but wasn’t exceptional. Overall it was just an okay experience, that I’d probably do again just for the convenience of staying in the hotel.

Sushi & Japanese Specialties at the Hyatt

Stopped down for a quick bite to eat and everything was just perfect. Started with the fresh oysters, excellent, and finished with the shrimp tempura roll, delicious. Added the Japanese pickles as a side and it did not disappoint. I love all kinds of pickles, but this was the first time I had the Japanese style. Three different types on the plate, with each better than the one before it. End to end, a tasty and pleasant meal.

1st server, really good. Really nice.
Beyond that, we were ignored and skipped even after they took our money… and tip!
Eventually we had to argue to get all our money back and leave without food.
Don’t waist your time.
