A halal Middle Eastern menu of shish kebabs, gyros & Turkish coffee served in simple quarters.

I had an extremely mixed experience at Truva today. While the food was quite delicious and flavorful, the service fell far below expectations—especially at this price point (about $79 after tip for two people).
Positives:
• The appetizer for two was excellent. It was slightly expensive, but the quality was evident, and the fresh bread was a nice touch.
Negatives:
1. Timing & Coordination: After finishing the bread, we waited about 10 minutes before my dining companion received their Doner Gyro Sandwich. I was told my Falafel appetizer would arrive “soon,” but it didn’t come until they were nearly done with their meal. This created an awkward dining experience where I spent most of the time hungry while the other person had almost finished eating. Mistakes happen, but the situation could have been handled better—perhaps by offering extra bread, a complimentary drink, or at least checking in. No one came by, and even the used plates from the appetizer and coffee were left uncleared.
2. Misleading Information: We asked if the restaurant had Coke Zero, and the waiter said yes. The soda tasted off, and later we noticed the restaurant serves Pepsi products. This may seem minor, but it’s misleading. A simple clarification would have sufficed.
3. Slow Service at Checkout: After finishing, it took a long time to get the check. No one checked on us until we flagged someone down, and even then, we had to ask twice—once to clear the table and again to bring the bill.
Bottom Line:
The food was great and restaurant interior was quite beautiful, but the service was extremely poor for a restaurant that costs about $40 per person. I wouldn’t return at this price point given the lack of attentiveness and overall experience.

Truva was ok but not among the best Turkish or Grill experiences I’ve had. I came with high expectations after a friend told me about this place. The service was great but the whole experience was not authentic Turkish experience and is clearly modified to cater towards their target audience. The food itself was ok but nothing memorable..

Absolutely delicious dinner! Our server, Biro, provided excellent service and was super friendly. We ordered the appetizer for 2, chicken kebab, beef tenderloin kebabs, Mediterranean salad, and baklava with ice cream. Everything was cooked fresh, seasoned perfectly, and tasted amazing.

The food here is so good! I highly recommend the appetizer plate, so many delicious new things to try, I especially loved the spicy ezme and the lebneh! The Turkish coffee was lovely and my chicken kebab was flavorful and juicy. The service is always impeccable, probably the best service of any restaurant I’ve been to in awhile.

We used to come here and enjoy the food often. But over the years they lost their touch. We ordered a mixed grill for 2 with no veggies but asked for extra bulgur which was 54.99 to go. But when we opened the container the quantity was much less than what they used to give out. They placed veggies inside but no extra bulgur. Also the amount of meat given in a mixed grill was also less compared to whats said on the menu. And one of the lamb pieces was raw, so we could not eat it. It’s really disappointing, they are so focused on the image of their restaurant and how it looks and how much to charge but the food is getting pretty lackluster, dry and mediocre. I used to tell people good things about this restaurant, but i guess I’ll have to take it back.

Absolutely fantastic! We are big fans of middle eastern food and this was just wonderful. We got the mixed cold appetizer for 2 and the shared meats plate. All of the appetizers were delicious, and the meats were cooked just right and packed with flavor. The presentation was lovely and made it feel very special. Our server, Asim, explained our dishes and was very timely, while also checking in just enough but not too much that it felt like hovering. Will DEFINITELY be back.

I was fasting and I was very hungry. My girlfriend and I came together. We ordered a mixed grill and a spicy meze. It was the worst meal I’ve had in the last three years.
The bread that came with the meze was reheated later and was dry. The meze itself had no flavor. I don’t even want to talk about the main dish. It was very dry. The Adana kebab, chicken shish, and cubed red meat were all very tough. We could barely cut them even with a knife. The meat would get stuck in our throats while eating, and it wouldn’t go down without drinking something. I sat down at the table hungry and left still hungry. We left half of the food on the table. It was very expensive for the quality — we paid around $100. The only positive thing was the atmosphere, but unfortunately, atmosphere doesn’t fill your stomach. Anyway, I don’t recommend it.
