Solid grub in Plymouth. Best described as good ol country cooking or soul food as the sign in window said. You get good grub at decent prices. Everything we had was tasty. Fried Whiting with two sides (hush puppies or cornbread) and a drink for $8.00. Hard to beat in today’s world. My dining partner had hamburger steak with gravy and onions…yams, Mac and cheese and cornbread.

If you ever find yourself in Plymouth, NC, do yourself a favor and stop at Trumps Restaurant (not affiliated in any way with the president). We stumbled upon it yesterday while driving around and saw the words “soul food”, so we decided to try it tonight. The food was fresh cooked and had so much flavor. The seafood was just as fresh as the seafood I had yards from the beach a week prior. The pork chops were fried to perfection and fall of the bone tender. The Mac and Cheese was top 5… hands down! The portions were huge!! We have enough for lunch tomorrow (and probably more!).
Any time I a traveling in this area, I will definitely make this #BlackOwnedBusiness a stop!!

Cons: No self serve drinks, 1 coke then tea or lemonade after that. Service was slow. Buffet needs to be slightly bigger 2-4 more options of sides would have been great. Also needs to be moved to where more than 1 person can access it at a time.
Pros: FOOD IS AWESOME!!!

This place is not much to look at, but it has seriously good food. We randomly stopped here on our way home from Kitty Hawk and we couldn’t be happier that we did. It’s not expensive and you get quite a bit of food. There was some kind of cinnamon cake included for dessert that was baked perfectly. I wish we lived closer so we could go back regularly!

We were on our way home from the beach and I wanted home cooking. Trump’s did not disappoint. All you can eat buffet for 12 dollars (including drink and dessert). The best cabbage and Mac n cheese I think I’ve eat. Great Christian ran restaurant.

Here visiting and googled restaurants in the area. Based on the reviews we decided to give it a try. Beyond disappointed. The Mac and cheese was brown. Not sure how to justify it, but some of the pics in other reviews looked great. Definitely not our experience. For $40 a complete let down

Food was hot and so good. It did take a little time for the food to arrive but was worth the wait.

Every time I order food they take my order then when I get there they always tell me “We don’t have that.” Yet I order from the menu. Today was the third time it has happened. I calls my order in at 2:30 just so they have plenty of time to do whatever until I get there 5:30 after work. They have hours to contact me to let me know that they don’t have something but for some reason they wait until I arrive for pick up to tell me. I’ve complained and still no change. Don’t worry I won’t be wasting anymore time trying to get anything from this place. That’s bad business and not once have I ever got a phone call apologizing for this mess. If they don’t get it together they will lose customers.
