Nice restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. Plenty of food options and flavors for a vegan restaurant. It looks like the stage allows for live music performances, though there was no music the night we visited. Service was great and food was prepared quickly.
Would recommend to anyone willing to try something new.

Go get their Tofu egg sandwich I’m a sucker for vegetarian and vegan food. I’m glad I found this place in IC. I loved their peanut sauce tofu bowl. I tried the wings, but they didn’t impress me much—felt like I was eating deep-fried falafel. But the taste of the tofu peanut sauce bowl was beyond amazing. Also, their black bean soup was good too. The person working there in the evening has a pleasant personality and is very friendly. Overall, it’s great!

This is a great place for ALL, but especially for vegans. They’ve got a dedicated menu guaranteeing quality and delicious food experiences each and every time you visit. Additionally, the specials of the day are usually very worthwhile and flavorful. The icing on the cake is that the Trumpet Blossom has a well stocked bar. If you visit Iowa City, you’re doing yourself a great disservice by not stopping by and enjoying a meal!

I was in town for work for the day and had some time to kill so I googled vegan restaurants and Trumpet Blossom came up. The pictures looked awesome. So I went down for lunch. I got the mango-habanero wings and a reuben. Both completely vegan. And both completely delicious. Fast friendly service. Will definitely be back next time I am in Iowa City. Highly recommend.

Food was ok for me. Flavors were good, and presentation was nice, but this isn’t the profile that fits with my tastes.

Cool vibe inside. Happy to find a dedicated vegan spot in town. All love.

Seitan: 6/10 fried way too hard, garnish salad was great
Sweet potato fries: 7/10
Falafel: 7/10 i prefer green inside, these were more of a chickpea slider without a setup.

Sauces ~~~
Herb aioli: 9/10
Ranch: 7/10
Red pep: 7/10
Tomato: 7/10

It has been a while since we had been to an all vegan restaurant, and we were excited to try this one. This place is super cute. We walked in and were told to sit wherever. The staff was extremely kind and prompt. We received our food in a timely manner. Our food was absolutely delicious! It was cooked well and had lots of flavor. I would definitely come back here next time we are in town.

The gluten free bread is made locally, and possibly the best I’ve had (and I’ve tried many)! It was not flaky and didn’t break apart after taking a few bites. Got a side of the Seasonal Vegetables and sweet potato fries. Fries had a nice seasoning, but mine were a bit undercooked and not crispy.

Very nice, relaxed vibe in the restaurant with outdoor seating next to a small water creek for nice scenery.

I am not vegan, but do have a gluten and dairy intolerance. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful to cater to dietary restrictions.

First off, walk in and it’s a homie environment. So not bad. The what does staff a.k.a. the waitress or the server was very nice.
So that was a good thing. She had a very humble and nice personality. She told us the specials, which was good.
But the food was overpriced for what they served.I understand it’s vegan which i’m all for because I am vegan, but…. The food was awful, and for the price that they were paying or they were charging was not worth it. The wings were hard and nasty like they was cooked earlier that day. Put it like this. It makes a vegan. Want to go eat meat and ask. Why would someone serve some food like that? My sweet potato fries were burnt. I don’t mean just crispy. I mean, burnt like I said the wings I could Throw them at somebody as rocks. It’s not supposed to be like that. The burger I give that a one and the soup I give it a 2 no seasoning. The burger was dry, as I don’t know what
The Reuben.
Was I give it a 3ish, and that’s being nice.So whoever is cooking needs to go back and learn how to cook that type of food.Because seriously, that was the worst experience.I’ve had and that’s no lie. But like I said, the young girl that were serving us our drinks and taking our orders was the best thing.Besides the root beer that they had. That’s why I didn’t want no dessert because I was scared of how the dessert would have tasted. P s I’d rather have an impossible whopper, and I hate those. So if you’re trying to try something new, don’t go there especially if you’re vegan, like me run, don’t don’t walk past there run

This was a welcomed sight for a starving vegan traveler making their way westward as much of the rest of Iowa is a desert for quality vegan faire. The food here was whole food plant based – not merely a frozen beyond meat burger marketed up. The ambiance was great – very cute place. Limited paid street parking. Inside space was ample and the bar was beautiful – but I didn’t have any drinks. Staff was very friendly and attentive. Played great music. Overall a very enjoyable stop.

I gave 4 stars because while the food was very tasty and fresh, I do feel the portions were small for the price. Maybe it’s because I traveled across the vegan food desert and was hoping to stuff my gob and my expectations were misaligned, but I had a $16 falafel burger with a side of soup and I left hungry. I just don’t think I should leave hungry a1fter spending $16 before gratuity. And, again, maybe I’m not used to the local economy.

Either way, as long as youre hip going in info highly recommend this place. It was cute, friendly, and very tasty.
