What a cool Bakery! The donuts are the biggest I have seen and the prices are very reasonable. We were visiting friends in Van Wert and ate breakfast here each morning. The biscuits and gravy and the bacon egg and cheese croissants are also huge and taste amazing and the portions are quite large. Definitely the best bakery in town!

Just an update on my previous, already 5 star, review…I had ordered a cake for my parents 40th anniversary party and we were DELIGHTED! The carrot cake layer was ESPECIALLY fantastic! We were here at 12:45
It was closed. Sign on the door said they closed at noon

Their reviews are so good I had to try again.
This place is great!
The customer service was so nice,friendly and helpful.
The pastries are some of the best I have had in the United States.
They have a small lunch menu.
Their prices are very reasonable.
When I am in a great pastry shop I tend to buy lots of goodies, which is why I spent $$$. You may not spend as much as I did. You will still find this place fantastic.
I can’t wait to go back.

This is an amazing bakery. They have a huge selection of goodies it’s hard to make up your mind what you want. Today I got a dozen donuts. To all my NW Ohio bride and groom’s their wedding cakes are beautiful. Customer service is great and everyone behind the counter is always willing to help and answer and questions. A great business in a wonderful town.

How insanely rude! We were just in this store today 8/9/25 buying our kids breakfast and we’ll never be back. Literally while taking our order, evidently our order wasn’t important enough. The lady helping (i assume owner) didnt excuse herself or anything else simply walked away. How rude and very unprofessional.

$17 chicken salad sandwich should be full of chicken. This was just sad. I waited 35 minutes for my lunch that was 100% premade. Soggy, tiny amount of chicken, no seasoning, terribly slow service.

Definitely a place to visit in Van Wert. They have great prices and such delicious food. Their fried chicken and potatoes taste literally like it came from your grandma’s kitchen for a Sunday dinner. The staff are so kind and helpful and have great humor. Jeremy and the lady up front were genuinely kind and full of laughter. I was so happy to have found this place with my daughter. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Stopped in while on a road trip. On the positive side, the staff is extremely friendly and we loved the quaintness of the place. There’s even seating outside. Coffee was self-serve, fresh and hot and there were lots of baked goods to select from.
But we went for breakfast, and it was NOT very good.
The eggs were okay, but the croissant was dry . . . and croissants should be anything but dry (maybe due to toasting?). I got a danish and it was the same way.
The bacon was the thing that really tanked their food. It had a taste of rancid oil. Either it was old, or there was old oil on the cooking surface.
I think this place has so much to offer that it could easily maintain 5-star reviews if they worked on the breakfast.
