Delicious local brewpub. Good food, good drinks, great atmosphere. We went here between hockey games and were so glad we did! The nachos (we added carnitas pork) were delicious. They were very friendly even we ended up being a bigger party than we meant to be. Hope to be back soon!

Really enjoyed my visit. The beer flight was great for trying a variety of drinks and a good price for 6. Really enjoyed the Happy Abbot! Staff were super friendly. I loved my burger, it had a charred flavor and was cooked well. Soft pretzel was awesome to share and had great dips. Overall was a great experience and we will be back!

I ordered the Cubano which was pretty good. Had a couple IPAs which were good also. My wife got hot honey chicken sandwich but said it wasn’t spicy at all which was disappointing. Otherwise a good place to eat and have a beer or 2. Will be going back if in that area again

True West is one of my favorite spots in Acton! The fish and chips are incredibly fresh and flavorful — perfectly crispy and golden. The fries are like no others — long, crispy, and seasoned just right. I especially love the Speakeasy Room, which has a cozy and relaxed vibe, perfect for family gatherings or a nice conversation over a meal. I’ve been here a few times and it’s consistently great. Highly recommended!

Had high hopes for our meal but unfortunately was underwhelmed.

Cole slaw lacked flavor. Portion was huge.
Fish tacos were okay. Need more sauce for amount of fish.
House burger was good but nothing outstanding.
Sweet potato fries were best part of meal minus the frozen one.

Over all price wasn’t worth what we ordered.

We love coming to True West, whether for a drink on game night or a meal with friends. The food has only improved over time – the truffle caesar is one of our favorites (we wish they sold the dressing by the bottle!), and the menu has something for everyone. The rotating beer menu keeps things interesting- our favorites are SwingSet and Top Shelf … hopefully they will both become permanent fixtures on the menu!

Really cool spot in Acton MA. I have to say the beer was really good particularly the West Ruckus! Great taste and nice punch! Place has great space with a sprawling bar as well as some outdoor seating! What’s awesome about this place is that if you and someone in your party is not all about craft beers they have a full cocktails menu! That’s quite rare for a brewery so definitely worth the stop if you are traveling through Interstate 495 or Route 2! Extensive menu with lots to choose. I personally was not super hungry and was there for the brews but did order their Famous Tater Tots and they were very good. Server raves about the burgers and the fried pickles. Looking forward to coming back soon!

TLDR: meh food, good beer. They flopped on the presentation with our pretzel (no hook just thrown on a plate vs other tables) and FORGOT the gravey in our poutine. And… poutine had scant traced of meat. Stretch to ever go back…

Details: Had seen it for a while and always meant to go but never had the opportunity – usually the hours just didn’t work out. So finally went in with my son for a few apps and to try the beer (shirley temple for him) The service was fine. When we came in we figured it’d be easier to grab a seat at the bar area tables but reservations are for there I think, so we went to the dining room. No problem. And our server was fine.

Also – my beer (the gold) was good and light – and cold as I like it. But for whatever reason I think they disliked me and my son. Here’s why. We got the beer pretzel – he saw it on the hanger, upright and cool to see. But when he got his it was flat on a plate like this. Everyone else’s there? The cool hanger. His? Nope – not for him. Not sure what we did to offend. The one before us and the one after had it. But didn’t make a fuss about it there.

But… before we finished, I wanted to try the tater tot poutine. Braised shirt rib, gravy and cheese curd. Sounded standard and good. We got it to go. But as you can see in my picture, when we got home we just got glorified tater tots with strands of meat here and there. The kitchen forgot the gravey. Seriously. Ok to not include it in the tots, bit at least in a side container. Or they just figured “nope, not for you. Take some potatoes with cheese.”

Either way I was disappointed. Might give it another shot in the future but not a good first impression and there really are a lot of places vying for dining dollars that’ve treated us better.

My family (two parents with two young kids) ate dinner at True West on a slow night. Food was decent and it had a nice vibe but the service was really lacking. Our waiter was young and awkward and didn’t bring us our drinks that were sitting at the bar for over 10 min. There was also a very rude young female manager(?) with dark brown hair who spoke to us very rudely, practically disciplined us, for taking our drinks off the bar and bringing them to our table after we sat there looking at them for 10 minutes. These were the first drinks we had ordered. She had zero customer service skills and probably should not be speaking to customers at all. We’ll probably take our $150 elsewhere next time.
