Of course this is located inside an HEB, with a nice little area to be able to sit and enjoy your food. You approach the counter to order on a kiosk. The worker was kind with her willingness to help me order since it was the first time. You order and pay on kiosk. You then receive a text of them receiving my order and then in a few minutes, I received a text that my order was ready for pick up. Because I didn’t like the option drinks, I went to the store part and bought what I wanted. My husband ordered a stuffed potato with smoked turkey slices. My husband stated it was good but he removed some of the meat, it was over stuffed. I ordered a poblano & cheese sausage link sliced which came with 2 slices of bread, pickles, onions and bbq sauce; elote bowl and Serrano cornbread. The sausage was not spicy but with a little kick. The elote had pickled red onions on top and plenty of cotija cheese on top, with a lime wedge. The cornbread was not spicy but flavorful and moist. When I picked up my order, it was missing the trimmings for sausage but I walked over to the counter and let them know and they immediately made it right. We will be back to try more on the menu.

Absolutely love this heb. My little family of 4 conveniently walk less than a mile every day to select what we’ll be eating that day. And I have to say that the staff and store are amazing. Their “cafeteria” is so comfortable and clean. Their brisket is fantastic, but what shine the most to me is the wonderful employees and their customer service.

I had the brisket sandwich and it was great, good flavor and moistly, I need to say the lady that help me was super helpful, asked her about the bbq sandwich and the brisket and gave me a good explanation. She came out of the cooking area and helped me order the food on the screen, always with a smile. I appreciate going to a place and been helped by people this nice. Birra Ramen!!!!!! Try it!!!! It’s spicy the way I love it with some mocos coming out of my nose and everything, it is very very rich and acidic with the spices and lime so have caution if you have acid reflux.

Tried a brisket sandwich and a turkey sandwich. They were high quality and generous portions, but the smokey flavor is overpowering and nasty. I don’t know if the smokiness is artificial or real, but it’s way too strong and makes the food nearly inedible. I won’t be back.

The Brisket here is delicious, the prices are okay I’m sure a little lower would entice a lot more customers.
The El Jefe Sandwich is delicious for $14 your sandwich has about 1/2 pound of moist Brisket, sausage link slices, coleslaw and BBQ sauce. The bun was pretty plain, I would recommend for them to put some butter on the bun and toast it slightly.
Overall The combination of all the above ingredients is amazing, I highly recommend you this sandwich option.

How is this place so good?! Seriously, how? Located in the middle of a grocery store, this absolutely kicks the butt of most barbecue I have ever had. If I had to pick two items to get again, it would be the Texas torpedo and the fatty brisket. Everything was delicious and fresh, and the ordering process was very simple.

Excuse my picture, but I had to test the food out before I snapped the shot. I love this BBQ spot in Heb on Trenton and 10th. The brisket beans are very hearty. I love the chopped brisket and the pickles are awesome! Also I hate potato salad, but I do enjoy this one.
