Food was absolutely delicious, for the price. Me and my kids chose to have lunch at HEB so we got the flaming bird and the True Texas barbecue. We use the kiosk to order, relatively easy to use. I will say it is misleading when you order the combos and it says the price at the bottom, it should say the total, including the chips in the drink. So if your combo says 4.99 that is the sandwich and when you check out, it shows a price for the chips in the drink. It should say 8.25 so there’s no misleading. combo comes with 20 ounce drink that you can refill and potato chips alongside a sandwich.
We ordered chicken fajita loaded fries, two pulled pork sandwiches and one slice brisket. Sandwich includes three chips three drinks. We also ordered a small macaroni. All this food was a little under $45.

I tried this place for the first time on a recent trip with my daughter to San Antonio. I had the BBQ Brisket. It was ok. I can’t rate it excellent because it was cold, and not that juicy, nor flavorful. Also, I had a cornbread that was not that great, it was too dry for my taste. The beans were ok, they too were cold.

I ordered a shredded chicken bowl with Spanish rice , it came bad at first . The Spanish rice was rock hard and impossible to chew through . I then went to the counter to just let them know . Then Jada offered to make me a fresh bowl on the spot no charge . She replaced the bad rice in the kitchen with fresh rice ! And let’s just say after the switch to fresh my night was made . Thank you Jada at the flaming bird

This TINY cup of beans is $1.50. The food is a step above “Makes a turd”. The “Self-Serve” (they only have the kiosk – nobody takes your order anymore) order kiosk is almost non-functional and took longer to use than it did to prepare the food. The staff is slow & non-responsive & seem pissed that they have to work there.
