The BBQ here was pretty good especially the brisket it was seasoned well and tender, had to use the kiosk which 2 of them was out, thankfully it wasn’t crowded when my wife and I went l, the BBQ sauce was OK,will return to try the ribs

On February 20th, Friday, we visited HEB and got lunch at True Texas BBQ. The meat is superb. I got brisket, queso poblano sausage, and turkey. My friend got Burnt ends, chicken tenders, as well as turkey. I got a side of brisket beans, and cream corn. My friend got sidewinder fries, Mac n cheese, as well as brisket beans.
The brisket is very tender, the smokiness is outstanding. The turkey had perfect spiciness, and the queso sausage was sublime. My friend said the burnt ends were very juicy and tender. The smokiness on level with a freshly toasted marshmallow on an open fire. And the chicken tenders were well-breaded, crispy, and paired well with bbq sauce.
The brisket beans were perfect, had plenty of bits of brisket. The cream corn was steaming hot, and was perfectly cooked. Mac n cheese was creamy and very cheesy, while staying nice and mellow. The sidewinder fries had a very good, unique texture, and were very hot. Fresh off the fryer!
We also got a deal, since we spent over 15 dollars we got a free cinnamon churro pudding.
In summary, true Texas bbq is a great restaurant. It has quick service, and outstanding food quality. Don’t forget the pickles, the pickles were great.

Very good Texas authentic BBQ! Sides were fantastic! Sides were very good portion sizes. BBQ was definitely weighed and you were getting probably exactly the amount of meat (in a cup), so plan that out when you order. After the full cup sides, none of us left hungry so it was fine! Plenty of sauce because it is on your own in jump bottles like a ketchup pump would be. Drinks were awesome too, nice big cups with fountain stations. The sauce, dribks and silverware, etc. are upstairs and downstairs, so that was great when crowded!
Food came out fairly quickly, maybe max 10min wait. Just enough time to get drink filled and find a table upstairs…then food was ready. Do wish they had a buzzer for those going to sit upstairs during super crowded times.

We tried this place for lunch before shopping at H-E-B. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful Kalea who took our order and help us understand the menu. We had our name called and got our food and Kalea helped carry the food to our table. The ribs were very good as were the Brisket. The Turkey was a little dry but very tasty. The bar-b-que sauce was very good the spicy was very mild but had a good flavor. We found the restaurant clean as well as the restrooms. We will return the next time we are shopping at H-E-B.

This was my first time ever eating at True Texas BBQ. I ordered the two meat plate that comes with two sides. I chose the St. Louis Pork Ribs, Brisket (fatty), creamed corn, and collard greens. The ribs were some of the most tender and delicious ribs I’ve had. The brisket was cooked perfect too and tasted delicious. All of the staff were kind, helpful, pleasant, and ready to assist at all times. Melinda was extremely nice and I appreciated her smiling and enjoying what she was doing. I would definitely recommend this place for the food and customer service. I will be back!

The servers and hospitality were wonderful. Erica was super helpful and very kind. Anita was wonderful and very sweet making my visit very enjoyable. Her kindness lifted the atmosphere in the entire restaurant.
