Love this place. We recently went on the day before Valentine’s Day and it was perfect. The Rasta Pasta 10/10 my boyfriend had the Jerk Pork with cabbage and rice and peas with a side of oxtail gravy. 10/10. The DJ was hitting all the reggae classics it was the best vibe. Definitely recommend this place. I took a picture of my food midway because we were hungry but the presentation was so cute and the food service is great! Greetings as soon as you walk in, the girl was very kind and helpful. Great great service.

Went for brunch. Food took a very long time to come out. Most items on the brunch menu were “made to order” so took upwards of 30 minutes to come out, effectively making the dining experience very bad. Very unorganized in even taking orders for a large group

Was able to get right in. Music was on point. Loved our server.. he was definitely a character and added to the experience. Food was good as well it just took a while to come out. We all enjoyed our food and drinks though. I would recommend giving a try.

My family and I came in for the first time tonight after hearing about the fish fry on Instagram — and it did not disappoint! As a family of Jamaicans, we always have a hard time finding authentic Jamaican food in Orlando — especially when my family visits from South Florida. From the service to the food and the atmosphere, it truly felt like we were at home. An unforgettable experience indeed and we will most definitely be back!

I had the oxtail pasta. The oxtails had good flavor, but they definitely could’ve been cook a bit longer. They were kind of tough. They are not falling off the bone whats so ever. But flavor…BANGING. The pasta is clearly not Alfredo. Its very basic. Not the oxtails and grits. Same thing with the oxtails. But VERY impressed with the grits. They were EXTREMELY good. Someone definitely took there time. Perfect smoothness and creaminess. Not runny. They had good flavor as well. Also ordered the wings. They were overcooked. Clearly on the grill. They were damn near burnt. To hard to eat. The chicken and waffles were good. The waffles were for me, the perfect fluffiness and crispness all in one. I also loved the beef patty. We went during Jamaica Independence day. So they had live performances. It was an absolute vibe. I’d definitely go back. Our server was awesome.

So excited for this new addition to the Waterford Lakes area! True Island Grille has a convenient location, modern upscale environment, phenomenal staff and the best Caribbean food! At our recent visit, we started off with the Jamaican style pepper shrimp and it is jam packed with flavor! For the main course, we had the Signature Rasta Pasta with Oxtail and it blew us away. 10/10 on taste, texture, temperate, and presentation. I can’t wait to continue visiting and trying out all their authentic recipes!

Finally a real Jamaican place that has the delicious tasting food like I’m used to . I’m from Chicago and know what good food is. By far this place is super clean, beautiful decorated and the service by our waiter Stephen is superb ‼️ Delicious foods like perfect tasting oxtail rice and peas. Steamed cabbage. They fry fresh plantain not frozen which is a plus! ❤️

And of course he did not get a tip because he didn’t even give a receipt because the machine was out of paper! We attempted to make small talk and the guy was either hung over from the club on Friday or simply didn’t care to do his part as a server!
As a local business professional I truly recommend getting friendlier servers and you have a host station get some friendly people working as the face of your business! You have a lot of potential and your restaurant is a hidden gem!
