We loved our meal at True Food Kitchen! It’s not easy to find a place where you can eat out and still feel good afterward — but this spot absolutely delivers. You can really tell they prioritize organic, high-quality ingredients.

I had the turkey burger with a kale salad, and it was delicious — super flavorful but still light and satisfying. Danny got the chicken tenders with sweet potato chips and loved them, and Jason had a burger that he said was one of the best he’s had.

And we had to finish with dessert — the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream was the perfect sweet ending.

A little on the pricy side but Highly recommend if you’re looking for something delicious that also makes your body feel good. We’ll definitely be back! ✨

Visiting from out of town and decided to give True Food Kitchen a try. NEVER again. Myself and two others submitted a take out order. ($91.80 w/ tip) First, the dishes are overpriced for what we received. Secondly, the entrees we received were hardly ‘warm’. It should be noted that we stayed in a hotel 0.4 miles away; the commute from the restaurant to hotel would hardly have been a factor in the temperature. The ‘Wild Caught Tuna Poke Bowl’ was a joke. The entrees came in a small side container. We literally thought it was a side salad at glance when opening the box. Compared to the photo on the website, we were truly gaslit. *$25.50* An order of their ‘True Crisp’d Air Fried Fries’ was anything but ~crisp’d. The little bag of fries looked like part of a happy meal from Wendy’s. The photo on the website had the fries with an abundance of seasoning and some cheese garnish. Again we were fooled. *$6.00* for a small fry order.

We went back to the restaurant to address these issues and were met with a very laissez-faire attitude, “That’s just how it comes… oh the fry seasoning in the photo is extra… the tuna dish is by weight. They all look like that.” The tuna is weighed out, that is understandable but that should not effect the lack of the other components of the dish. The manager’s remedy was to tell us to keep the original tuna bowl and they will make another one. At this point, the first tuna bowl had been out for an hour. Consuming tuna left out that long room temperature does not sound like a good idea.

Basically in conclusion, I’m writing this review to forewarn others of the price to portion size ratio or maybe just go in person to have better service, hot food and a better experience.

Had the kale salad and salmon (plus some wine ) and everything was excellent! Our server Matthew was fantastic at helping us navigate the menu. He even noticed we were near the end of happy hour and made a timely suggestion so we could take advantage of the pricing. Great service and great food!

I feel like there are a lot of mixed reviews as of late, so I did want to tap in and give the good experience I personally had.
Let’s start off with they do have parking validation, which I tried to find on their website, but I couldn’t and we had paid in the garage by the time we had walked to the door, so a useful bit of information to save yourself some money.
The inside of the restaurant is nice, with an open kitchen. At first when I looked at the menu, it is pricier side, but knowing they pride themselves on ingredients I was still interested. As well as my dinner partner being vegan which their menu does accommodate. Our server was awesome, especially when we mentioned we hadn’t been there before he gave us a nice little rundown and some recs. I got the Citrus Salmon Salad and the portion size was great. And that dressing was delicious, I need one for my house. Overall good experience and I would come back to try a pizza.

This is disgusting. Ordered 2 kids burgers to go for my kids. Went to break them apart for them and they were rare. I called and they weren’t even apologetic, simply stated “oh.. yeah they’re supposed to be well done.” Well, yes! I used to order from here all the time, but never again. This was so disgusting.

I went about a week ago and the food was fresh & amazing. Our waitress Joanna was awesome from the moment we sat down, she was quick, attentive, and genuinely kind. She made great food recommendations. Joanna made us feel so welcomed and taken care of the entire time. She made the BEST expresso martini! I highly recommend asking for her Joanna.

I’ve never had such an inconsistent experience then at True Food. When this restaurant started out everything was top notch and the quality of the food and the service were great. We’ve ordered to-go a few times but last night was my last experience. I ordered the lasagna and my wife ordered the tuna poke bowl. My lasagna looked like it was made by a toddler. When we got home and opened the bag it was all out of sorts. We only live about 5 miles from the location. My food was cold and needless to say a mess. If you are going to charge $24 for lasagna it better not look like this.

True Food is consistently one of my favorite restaurants to seek out when traveling for a healthy and delicious meal. The Nashville location doesn’t disappoint… My favorite for gluten-free pizza and seasonal salads!

Edit: The manager, Luke, did get in contact with me and offered a free meal. When it picked it up, it was cooked perfectly and tasted great. I am hoping this means they will be more consistent going forward!

Original: I’m bummed to have to write this review! I’ve previously loved TFK, but their quality has plummeted in the last few months. I only gave two stars because I love their mission with sustainable sourcing and healthy cooking methods, but my meals have been borderline inedible recently. In my most recent order of Ancient Grains Bowl with steak, my steak (that I paid an extra $9 for) was either cooked into oblivion or basically raw–no in between. Most of the sweet potatoes were undercooked to the point of being crunchy. This has been the case with the last 3-4 times I have ordered it. The flavors are great, but the poor cooking makes it inedible. For the price, the quality is absolutely unacceptable.
