I love this place. You will never have a bad meal. However, I waited 30 minutes and finally asked if the food was sitting there was mine. She said, “yeah.” I said I didn’t get a text, but she just kind of shrugged and asked if I wanted a bag. The prices are insane now. I get chicken basmati with cauliflower and eggplant. At first, the guy was cutting the chicken portion and swapping it with eggplant and cauliflower which was ideal. Then I started to be charged extra which was fine. It was maybe a $1. This time I was charged an extra $10 for cauliflower and 4 pieces of eggplant. I think I’m done with True Blue for now. $44 for a dinner and baba ghanoush is crazy.

TL;DR: The food is great!
Came here for the first time tonight with my wife (great pick, babe!) and the experience was excellent. I call it an experience because it truly felt like one! We arrived not knowing what to expect and started at the kiosk area, began looking through the menu there when the nice woman behind the counter asked if we might like to eat in the dining room. I thought she meant the open area, but no! There is a cozy space off the the side of the kitchen that somehow looks straight out of the future, yet has a rustic feel. The slightly varied blue tones paired with the dark brick evoked a calm and welcoming aura.
The food is simply fantastic. My wife started with the …cauliflower appetizer which she loved (I’m not a cauliflower fan myself) and I tried the mozzarella sticks which were some of the best I had. The were light and at first I thought maybe I got one where the cheese all fell out, but nope! completely filled, crisp and delicious.
We both had gyros, which came with pita chips that are just to die for. Light, crispy and deliciously paired with humus. My Steak gyro was the best I’ve had…and the same for the perogies. My great grandmother used to make her own, and these are the best I’ve had since then.
The piece de resistance: The apple perogies! Hot, sweet little pockets of culinary joy, they reminded me of empanadas. Next time we’ll know to get 2 orders. So glad we saved room for dessert!

My lamb gyro was just okay, the fries were good, but the huge surprise was my wife got the cauliflower gyro and it was amazing! We are not vegetarian, but she saw all the cauliflower around the store and it peaked her interest. Not sure what they do to that cauliflower, but it was amazing. I wish I would have got it instead of the lamb.

The food is so fresh and delicious. Very authentic. We have gone several times and have received phenomenal customer service. It one of our go to spots for take out. The portions are insane. As a vegan I am grateful they have options and even a vegan dressing. The cauliflower bowl is delicious.

All I can say is WOW. I’m kicking myself for not taking pictures to share. The food was SO SO GOOD!! The cauliflower app, I have never had anything like it! The flavor combination was so unique and amazing! Also got the lamb kebab entree, and it was perfection! The cucumber/tomato salad, the hummus, the pita bread, the rice – all so fresh and tasty. LOVED the grilled peppers, too. Such a cute and delicious little garnish. I ordered at the computer, but we took forever looking at menus beforehand. Took a little bit to cook (they cook to order!!), and was so so worth the wait. Not a super long wait or anything, but it’s not instant! Would give them a thousand stars if I could!!!

It’s been a week and i am STILL thinking about this meal!! True Blue has never disappointed- they are friendly and clean- but during my last visit i tried the cauliflower gyro. My goodness. Lightly breaded, so juicy, flavorful, and absolutely packed to the brim with veggies. The zesty lemon mayo sauce on it was unforgettable. Can’t wait to be back! Thank you 🙂
