I like two kinds of places.
A small hole-in-the-wall with real, good food, or a very fancy place with top-tier service. Both are honest about what they are.
This place was not honest. The food was very expensive, but it did not taste special. The service tried to act fancy, but it did not feel professional or calm.
If you charge a lot of money, the food and service should match. This place felt like it was pretending to be something it is not. I would not come back.

Visited Columbia to see my sister-in-law and found Tru Bistro thanks to TikTok—major win! We went on a Tuesday night and the vibe was everything. The music was good, the drinks were strong, and the food? Next level. I had the chicken pasta and it was delicious, and my sister-in-law had the salmon with fried okra—she gave it a 10/10.
And the hookah? Only $20 during happy hour! I love a spot where the hookah is fire, the food hits, and the drinks are doing what they’re supposed to do. Tru Bistro is that place. Highly recommend if you’re ever in the Columbia area.

I would recommend coming here if you want a vibe… But you don’t really wanna do too much.
It seems like they always have a constant crowd… And every Wednesday is five dollar shots until 10 PM, some entrées are also five dollars until 10 PM.
The food here is pretty good and has a pretty decent prize.
I got the “honey salmon“ I’m guessing that they ran out of honey, because my salmon was made with brown sugar, but it was still really good. I asked them to make the okra extra crispy and they did that also.
My friend really liked her food also. I tried it. It was good.
The drinks were also really good… I would recommend this place and I will definitely be back when I’m in the area again.

Place wasn’t even crowded or close to packed.. Service was still slow. No DJ at all just pre-recorded videos from the 90s. No lie it sucked everything, drinks took long to come out. Food took long to came out. We even spoke to the owners and they didn’t care. Maybe if you’re from here you like this boring vibe but if you are from out of town, I would not choose this place. It’s nothing cool at all..it actually sucks. The name should be called Fake not true. Zero stars. Hands down

This is my absolute favorite restaurant in Columbia, SC. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! The turkey burger is one of my favorites. Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Music and DJs are always a vibe. Safe environment due to great security. Will recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat and chill in Columbia.

Definitely wasn’t worth 54$ I only ordered one ten piece wing only, one ten piece wing with fries, and one 10 dollar drink. The chicken was very small and the container barely had any fries. They added 20% gratuity to every check and while tipping was not a problem the service wasn’t equivalent to the amount collected off of the 6 people I went with.

The only issue with this place was the young lady who seemed to be a manager. Went on a Saturday evening. The people with me had ordered numerous drinks and food. The lady was wearing a purple shirt and aggressively told our side of the bar if we weren’t buying anything we had to leave. Extremely unprofessional when we had just ordered items. The waitress behind the bar was great however!

My girls and I went here last night to celebrate my birthday and it was such a vibe!! The atmosphere was amazing! Everyone there was so nice and kept wishing me a happy birthday!! The beautiful girls that work there were incredibly amazing and completely made my birthday! Hookah flavor was 10/10 and drinks and shots were 10/10!!! Def will be going there again!
