Long story short, this place is nasty! This is no exaggeration. I’m convinced they’re writing their own good reviews. Walking in the front door is a turn off by itself. The restaurant looks like an old dusty storage room from the 80’s. There’s an odd smell in the air that simply stinks. Everyone working there seems so miserable and sad. I don’t think they have “bad attitudes”. I just think they’re unhappy. I read a review saying the portions were nice and the food is delicious. All lies! It’s really a lunch sized portion that you would get any other place. I wouldn’t have any problem with the portion size nor the prices if the food was good. I ordered the honey chicken combination platter. The rice has the same taste that you smell when you walk in the door. The chicken is bland, soggy, and unappealing. The sauce is literally sweet water…like a simple syrup.. The egg roll was fresh, crunchy , but half empty. I usually give places multiple chances before I write them off. This was my second experience and both times…it’s not good. I’m assuming maybe some grandparents started this restaurant and at one point, it may have been decent. But they simply can’t cook. Now I’m on my way to another Chinese place to get food. Hopefully the owners read these reviews and really take heed. …Call Gordon Ramsey, bar rescue , or somebody. I don’t wish any family business to fail but you have to step it up.

Was pleased to discover that this family-run business is NOT heavy-handed with the cooking oil!! We had a lovely dinner here. The hot & sour soup was the highlight for me, and the Kung Pao Chicken / Egg Foo Young / Cashew Shrimp were very tasty too. Very personable owner and family. Would not hesitate to come back.

Picked up takeout here and everything was great. The food came out fast, the prices were fair, and it tasted really good. The kid at the counter was super friendly and made the whole experience easy and pleasant. We’ll definitely be back.

Been to this restaurant several times.. first 2 times food was absolutely amazing…. this time.. wonton soup was very salty, dark and had alot of cabbage. I also ordered the new Philly cheese and chicken egg rolls.. they are ok taste wise but absolutely no cheese.. just the meat and onions.. very disappointed they would have been very good if they had cheese.. no cheese in a Philly cheese egg roll?? This time.. I didnt finish my food and still kinda hungry

How has this place been open forever? Fried rice was dry and flavorless, lo mein was burnt, donuts soggy, bourbon chicken bland. After a few bites it all went into the trash.
Staff were nice and food was prepared quickly, but id never go here again.

Okay where to begin. First off the staff was rude. The man taking my order at the register I had to tell him three times what I wanted. The waitress when she delivered it to me said absolutely nothing and basically slammed it on the table.
The portion of food was definitely not worth it. I had General Tso’s chicken and basically the sauce was bland and watered down. I had asked for them to please make certain that it was spicy and it was far from it. I ordered shrimp fried rice and found no shrimp in my rice. I ordered the large combo and had seven small pieces of chicken.
This place used to be the restaurant you wanted to go to and Travelers Rest for good Chinese food however now I wouldn’t recommend it for anything.

Ate this food earlier and I am extremely sick and puking.
Chicken was greasy, a weird color, and not cooked thoroughly. The breading was awful on the chicken and everything tasted frozen. Not to mention take out for two was $30. We will never be back.

I would say 3.5 stars. You have to order at the counter and sit down.
Was greeted by a young lady. Very friendly.
Food was served quickly. Everything was freshly cooked.
We ordered the fried dumplings, crispy and hot. Shrimp Egg rolls. One had shrimp and the other not.
Sesame Chicken. Crispy
And the Cantonese Chicken. Fried. But really sweet. I ordered extra extra hot. But barely warm for spiciness.
Food was good. Serving size was okay.
Overall. We will stick with our other TR Chinese restaurant.

I’m very picky when it comes to Chinese, but this is the best Chinese I’ve come across in Greenville so far!
Wonton Soup was really good!
Egg rolls are good too, but wish they were filled more.
Sesame chicken was really good as well, but the fried rice was just ok. Not very flavorful.
The boneless spare ribs were ok, but I prefer them thicker. It came as thin shreds.
My husband liked the dumplings. I just prefer ones that have more dough.
