We went for dinner as a group of 5 on boxing day and it was so nice and beautiful. I love the vibes and the 1950s style so much! It made me feel giddy being in there. Their food was also amazing. I loved the banana split, and their burgers were really nice(love the customization) food was also very affordable with nice large portions. In both price, asthetics and style it felt like I was brought back to the 1950s

This is a great place to go for some feel good, awesome food! It was cold and rainy and my friend and I were craving some good food. We started with some potato soup that had corn and bacon in it. I ordered breakfast and he ordered the patty melt. We sat at the bar and watched as the wait staff did this fine dance with the cooks as the meals were put under the lamps and names called as they were ready. Our meals were hot and fresh. The waffle that I had was fluffy and tasty. My friend’s patty melt looked really good and he said it was very tasty. Everything about this experience was good. You need to try this place. I can’t speak for how busy they are in the summer but they were very busy for a cold, November day.

Found this place based on their good review on Google and it live up to the review!
We had the tomato basil soup, onion ring, fried pickle (the best), short stack banana pancakes, big daddy breakfast, and sunny side up eggs, toast, and bacons. All the found came out warm, delicious, and not greasy!
Our server, Sophie C., checked on us, made sure our drinks filled up. The inside is typical diner kinda place and everyone happy with their food selections.

Very good coffee and an attentive wait person kept my cup filled. We enjoyed breakfast. All orders were good though I think their lunch and dinner menu is better than the breakfast options. Still, you can’t beat the energy and vibe of a diner for any meal. We were so hungry that I failed to take pictures of the food!

My friends and I had a great time checking out this 50s-style diner. I ordered the veggie omelette with hash browns and coffee, and everything was tasty and satisfying. Between the welcoming service and the affordable classic menu, it’s a perfect place for a relaxed bite.

1 Bacon cheeseburger with fries. Reeces milkshake. 1 Cheeseburger with fries and banana shake. Reuben/ fries. Meatloaf with fried okra and coleslaw. The Cheeseburgers were good just right good flavor, fries smoking hot. Milkshakes were good with whip cream and chocolate drizzled- but missing dad’s cherry. Mom enjoyed the meatloaf and the okra was good but not the coleslaw. The reuben was alright nothing special. Oh we also had mac n cheese bites…very good. I left my phone in the restroom and one of the girls was sweet enough to put it at the front for me!! Music was on spot with the diner feel, did seem like it could use a good cleaning and brightening up, but we enjoyed our visit. Price was very good, we were pleasantly surprised.

The First of Ev’s Eats…Troy’s 105 Diner

To kick things off, we start with this retro-style diner serving up delicious comfort food, from your classic breakfast plates to late-night bites like patty melts.

The Food:
I ordered the Razzle Dazzle – sirloin tips, three eggs (scrambled), hash browns, and an English muffin. The portion size was very generous, especially for breakfast. The flavor? The steak tips were tender, and the eggs were fluffy – more folded and firm, like on a flattop, than scrambled. The hash browns were delicious – the tops were crispy, but the bottom side was on the soggy side.
My lovely wife ordered the Little Cuz, which is biscuits and gravy, one egg, one strip of bacon, and one sausage patty (links available). The bacon or sausage wasn’t anything standout, but it was nice and crispy. The biscuit seemed sort of dry, but the gravy saved the dish. It was a nice combination of buttery and sweet but still peppery. We recommend utilizing the sausage patty to beef up the sausage gravy, as it was a bit weak on the sausage.

The Service:
We arrived around 8:30 on a Monday morning. It wasn’t crowded, and we were seated instantly. The staff were friendly and attentive. We ordered soon after being seated and received our food before 9 a.m. Despite being quick, it felt relaxed – nice for a Monday morning!

Ambiance:
Retro booths, neon signs, Elvis and Marilyn Monroe-covered walls – it definitely feels like stepping back in time. Clearly, a place where locals would stand by loyally, but where tourists should make a definite point to visit as well.

Location:
Right off 105 near App State campus. Convenient location, but 105 isn’t the easiest road to turn onto, so keep that in mind. Parking is easy; it’s not difficult to find.

Rating:
8.7/10
