Went for dinner and had a great time. Brown jug chicken was deliciius and I tried the rueben which was excellent as well. The fries are thin fresh cut fries perfect for salt and vinegar.

We were there on Valentine’s Day for a late dinner. As we finished up it was about time for the kitchen to close but you would have never known. The staff was so nice, welcoming, and in no hurry to wrap up for the night even though they had been slammed all night. Our meal was fantastic, cooked exactly to order, and our server was amazing.

I haven’t been to Trotters Tavern in a long time. My wife and I went recently and we found it to be very good. The food was wonderful and the customer service was top of the line. We made a reservation online, when we arrived they could not find the reservation so my wife showed them the confirmation. They did not hesitate in seating us. They were busy the night we were there but there staff never lost sight of any customers. Our experience was very good and would recommend all to try Trotters.

Not the type of steak I was hoping for. Presented more roast like. Flavor was ok. Wood plate was visually neat but a pain when trying to cut the steak as the bottom of the plate/platter wasn’t flat. The atmosphere was fantastic. The service was great for how busy they were. All of the food I saw being served looked good, too. If we were in the area longer, we would probably go back.

This was our first dinner at Trotters. We both had the brown jug steak which was rather tough in my opinion. The crab stuffed mushrooms were cold when they brought them to the table, I had to ask for them to be reheated. My bill was $125 before the tip which would be OK for an outstanding meal for. Two people.
I would rate the steaks as not so good regardless of the price. It was actually difficult to cut which should not be the case for a well prepared good steak. Very disappointing.

The brown jug steak was absolutely smashing. I highly recommend getting sweet potato fries to cleanse your palette between each bite of tangy brown jug sauce. And the roll? Don’t even get me started! A crispy, cheesy top with a warm and soft inside. If you’re looking for friendly service, delicious food, and a cozy atmosphere, Trotters is the place to go!

The food was awful. I ordered French onion soup and it came out cold with raw onions. I also had a baked potato that was hard and cold. My husband had a rueben and the bread was burnt. We waited an hour for awful food. So disappointing because the food used to be good. The quality has really went downhill. Unfortunately, we won’t be back and I won’t recommend them to anyone.

Lived in Bowling Green area forever, finally decided to try this place. Very nice, quaint, little establishment. There is not a lot of seating and very pretty tight. The pretzel sticks were smoking hot and delicious. The cheese sauce was great as well. The side salads were good. They actually had greens, NOT iceberg. The steak and mushrooms were the star of the dinner. Steal was cooked perfectly and had a great taste. The French fries were better than most. Why not 5 stars? The mashed potatoes and coleslaw. The coleslaw could have been really good, but it was 65 percent dressing 35 percent slaw. It was just drowning and not very appealing. Also, for these kind of prices, I would have expected instant mashed potatoes. They were very bland. I would come back again, just no coleslaw or mashed potatoes

P.S Why no baked potato option?

Our waitress was outstanding given the large crowd and the high occupancy; she was kind and patient. Our main dish was sub par. Room temp not hot steak and not prepared as requested. Sent it back and asked for a refund which was only granted by the chef after voicing our frustration as he initially declined to take it off. SMH.
