The service was top-notch, with attentive staff who provided great recommendations. The wine selection was impressive, and we enjoyed a bottle that paired beautifully with our meal.
I love this place and highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience!
What happened was this creep, who we later learned is named Marco, stormed through a crowd and shoved into the back of another man and wine was spilled all over me. We didn’t know either person as we had just happened to be passing by the bar but they started getting into a physical fight. The following Friday, this Marco came up to me and pretended to apologize for the previous week but then he suddenly tried to start a fight with my Partner as he turned and shoved him in the face. The idiot started yelling at us as he mistakenly thought my Partner was the person he got into a fight with the week before and he wanted to resume the fight. Marco then disgustingly Spit on us. What a Cowardly Act and who knows what disease he has???? Then he shoved me and cowardly ran to the safety of his friends and kept yelling at us and calling us names. We stopped a member of the Staff who then witnessed him Spit again at us and kick my Partner in the shin. The Staff member told him to quit or he’d be thrown out and he got the Owner, Khan Brashier. Khan pretended to be nice and assured us they would throw Marco out of the Restaurant. However, Khan did nothing and 5 minutes later we saw him patting Marco on the shoulder and kissing him on the cheek. A few minutes after that we were further subjected to taunts and name calling from across the room by Marco and his friend.
We filed a Police report but Tropics would not assist by providing the surveillance video. The Police didn’t help at all even though there is a Wilton Manors Police Detective there every Friday at one of the reserved tables. I’ve known Khan for many years and thought he was a man of character but showed that he is just a 2-faced Liar. Disgusting that he’d allow an elderly man and his Partner to be attacked in his establishment by some Low Life.
We have been loyal Customers for 20 years but there are better places to go on the Drive than tired, old Tropics. The food, the service and the quality of the customers has gone downhill ever since Khan Brashier purchased Tropics. Sucks cause we love the Bartenders. Sad.
Tonight at The Tropics in Wilton Manors was nothing short of magical, and Cody, our server, was the absolute STAR of the show. From the moment we sat down, Cody delivered next-level service—attentive without hovering, fun without being overbearing, and genuinely made us feel like VIPs all night long. Drinks were always full, timing was perfect, and his energy matched the vibe flawlessly. Honestly, Cody is the kind of server you come back for.
As if that wasn’t enough, we were treated to an incredible night of live entertainment. Victor singing was phenomenal—powerful, emotional, and captivating—and Rick on the piano absolutely crushed it. The talent in that room tonight was unreal. The music, the atmosphere, the crowd—it all came together perfectly.
The Tropics nailed it tonight: amazing service, incredible live music, and a vibrant, welcoming energy that makes Wilton Manors special. Huge shoutout to Cody, Victor, and Rick for making this a night we’ll be talking about for a long time.
Do not miss this place. Do not miss this team. We’ll be back—again and again. ✨
Service was excellent,
Waitor was tall dark handsome and obviously professional courteous, my apologies for not remembering his name, because he really is good at his job. My evening was table of 8. Everyone arrived casually. Was a birthday night for Hector my husband. The waitor , I apologize for not remembering his name which is unlike me I guess I had a lot going on that night. we had was prompt , polite and considerate to everyone’s needs. We had a vegan , a vegetarian, couple that only wanted dessert, meat eaters, fish only, … offering suggestions and just being helpful to guests with such variety is not easy. I ate the sirloin steak dinner which was great and coconut shrimp which I enjoyed . The entertainment was singer with incredible voice, friendly , handsome Tony ( not sure of last name sorry), the pianist was Ricky, another handsome fella whose good with his man hands ..who knows how to tickle those ivories so well… and works well with others.
I just wrote this review let you know your waitor is exceptional. From what I remember him saying he was handling more than our table at the same time …( I hope you can figure out who it was , give him our sincere thank you. Please consider his excellent service when giving him opportunities and money. I a m sorry I failed at remembering his name. It’s prob on receipts or something, everyone including the front end person were just wonderful . Thank you .
I will say the entertainment is great, and many of the bartenders are very nice. I could see myself sitting at the bar and watching a performer, but I won’t return for food here. The food service is a real disappointment.
