John was on the beach and took care of us providing great service. The chairs are $15 each for the day. We had the Mahi burgers and they were good. Planters lunch was also a good choice. Overall great afternoon on the beach.

What a gem! Decent price for chairs and umbrella. Beach was calm and not overcrowded. The food was the star here. We had the trigger fish and Tropics salad. One of the best meals we’ve had in quite a while. Certainly the best thing we ate during our trip. When we return, this definitely will be at the top of our list to come back to. Alan, owner was extremely cordial and gave recommendations but only if we asked.

This was one of the worst experiences we ever had around the Caribe and more. I came with my wife around 1 :15 pm, we ordered a beer and a juice and we made our order ( a grilled triggerfish and a mix seafood casseroule)…1:45 pm no food…2:00 pm no food..2:15 pm no food. Then we gentle asked the waiter where our food was, and she said that we had to wait 30 min more, as the chef was very busy. Fine. We waiter, 2:45 pm, no food 3:00 pm , we asked again the waiter and she apologized and said there is no triggerfish left!!! Unbelievable after 2 hours wait, they discovered that at 3 pm!!!! We asked the bill and we run away from that place, angrier than ever! I do not recommend this place, to anyone.

Great location with plenty of seating with a view of the beach and ocean. The ceviche was surprisingly delicious and the grilled chicken sandwich had a jerk spice with lots of flavor. There’s plenty of seating. Highly recommend if you want lunch on the water at a reasonable price.

Me and my whole family LOVE this place, amazing drinks and food with the best beach and the best service. Justin is your guy to accommodate the best spot for chairs and umbrellas. Frankie the owner is amazing! This is the place where you got everything in one spot! There is No place like this in Saint Martin ❤️

Okay, you guys—let me put you on. I’m currently in beautiful St. Martin, and thanks to my friends here, we were introduced to a local gem called Tropics Restaurant—and let me just say, this place is an absolute must. Not a want. A need.
From the moment we walked in, everything was top tier. The vibe? Immaculate. The service? So warm and welcoming. And the food? Baby… the food is out of this world. One of my friends ordered the ribeye—juicy, flavorful, cooked to perfection. I had the lobster, and it was so fresh and tender, I’m still thinking about it. My other friend got the pasta, and let’s just say there wasn’t a single bite left on the plate.
No exaggeration—this is hands down the best food I’ve had on the entire island, both French and Dutch side. If you’re in St. Martin and you don’t make a stop at Tropics, you’re seriously missing out. Do yourself a favor and experience it. Trust me, you’ll thank me later.

Small but delicious and creative menu.
Excellent cocktails.
Highly recommend the Tropics salad. Everything fresh.
A great new addition to the Grand Case strip.
We wish Alain and the team all success in this venture and look forward to returning.

Alain is one of the great island bartenders. He largely stepped away from his gig at L’Esplanade (a fabulous place to stay in Grand Case) to open Tropic’s. And boy howdy did he ever. Great location on the bay with lovely stretch of beach.
The food here is simply wonderful. We had a seafood curry casserole and an enormous Mahi sandwich, both done to perfection. And Alain’s drinks, of course, are superb. A great place to spend an afternoon.

Our favorite beach restaurant in grand case. Visited 3 times during my last 2 week visit to Sint Maarten.
Great food, very friendly service, good cocktails and nice wine. Lovely beach service as well. Easygoing vibe and great price/quality.
Can’t wait to return.

I use to frequent Tropics a lot. It was amazing 6 months ago in June with Justin our server and always before never an issue.
We were there in December 1st time was nice. But now they charge for chairs even though you’re local. Never have they before. So very disappointed!
Our 2nd time there our server Luca was terrible. I asked why he’s not smiling or friendly and said he was tired. Never checked on us if we needed anything. The Acra was jut bread.
We feel they didn’t care at all so we decided to move within 2 hours and they wanted to charge us $10 per chair even though we’re locals!
Would not recommend!!
