I usually don’t even do a lot of restaurant posts But this whole transaction disturbed me! I’m giving service 1 star I would give less if I could for service!!!!…I placed an order via delivery platform. I sent a note attached to my order. Stating my rice was hard like it was under cooked last time I ordered. And also could they ensure that I received the extra oxtails that I was paying for. I used Please and no aggressive words. Later I received a canceled order from the platform. So I called the store to see if maybe I needed to change what I ordered. The man that answered the phone was very rude and defensive during the conversation. I asked if they were open and taking orders and did I need to maybe pick up the order myself and his response was yes we’re open we can’t work from home…so I questioned why my order was canceled. This man told me they canceled my $50 order because he felt the note I sent was rude!!!.. again my note contained no aggressive words in it and included please…and because I am a frequent customer the bad order I received previously with the hard rice I did not give a bad rating or complaint. I have even had luncheons at my job and used this restaurant more than once. So for this man to respond with his smart and sassy comments is crazy! The sad part is at the end of the conversation he said ok, you can put your order back in. Like everything is ok. No….I ordered from a different restaurant and they got the $50. I work hard for my money, and for him to think it was ok to carry on in that matter and play with my money is not acceptable. Your not giving me the food for free…I am paying for it. That goes for all the customers that go there. Appreciate the money because if people stop coming and spending their money you would have no business. And we pay alot of money on these delivery apps. My order for one dish and a drink was $50. I love this restaurant but the service will make me never order from there again!

As a Jamaican I go to various Jamaican restaurantsin the area. Of course Jerk chicken is my first go to to try it out. I don’t know what kind of seasoning or sauce they use, but it is not Jerk. Mind you, whatever season they use does taste good but it’s not authentic jerk seasoning. The portion is decent for a small. I got up with rice and peas and cabbage. I didn’t get a lot of cabbage dough which one I was hoping for and it’s doused in a lot of sauce. I also ordered a sour sap drink for such a small container. It’s very pricey, but that’s fine so I will stop drink taste a little bit like an authentic soursop beverage, but I rate that low as well. The place seems to be doing a lot of business, but I seriously doubt any of the people coming in here at Jamaican, which is Fine. I’m tempted to open up my own Jamaican spot and I’m pretty sure I’ll blast away this competition. I may have to return to see what their curry chicken is like.

I’m not even going to speak on the food. I have been here in the past and the food was always decent. The reason I’m writing today, is the price of the Cucumber Ginger drink! If you charge $8 for a very small bottle, which is more than a whole jerk chicken sandwich…please put the price somewhere on the menu! If that’s how much you want to charge for it, cool! But let your customer’s know. I ordered a Jerk Chicken Sandwich and a Beef Patty and when my receipt said $19,85, I was like “what the hell?” Then I saw that that little bottle was $8. Do better!

I love me some good food and good food is what I recieve! Everything is always delicious. Definitely hit the spot. Oh and their all natural in house juices are theee best! That fruit punch, baby, is the truth! When I need my Jamaican food fix this one of my fav spots. Us from the area know!

I ordered the Escoveitched red snapper fish via uber eats for lunch. I was so excited as I was bragging about this dish. I received my food and everything tased old the cabbage the rice and the fish was spoiled. My food tasted like it was made a week ago and warmed up. Also the fish was small the head wasn’t connected. Thank God I ordered on uber eats was able to submit photos and revive a refund.

I haven’t been here in 4 or 5 yrs. I picked up a large jerk chicken rice and peas/cabbage. Coco bread and spicy beef patties. The food good. The rice and cabbage seemed a bit watery. The spicy beef patties were hot and delicious.

I was SUPER excited to review this place….but my food was lack luster. Before COVID the food was flavorful and delicious. I literally could dip my coco bread in the savory juices of my curry shrimp!!! But today I’ve been severely disappointed the shrimp are soft and mushy (some were tough/over cooked as if it was not cooked fresh), cabbage is not seasoned the rice and peas were not seasoned either but probably the best thing on the plate….COVID has taken its toll on a lot of places but this is just poor service and products I really cant believe I basically wasted my money
