Jerk chicken pasta with candied yams and cabbage. This dish was excellent. Portions were more than enough to get my stomach off my back. I can honestly say, I will definitely be patronizing this restaurant anytime I am in Fargo.

Today was my first time eating here, and this is Precisely what my taste buds had been longing for in recent weeks (with regards to soulful Caribbean food)!!! I got the Curry Chicken platter, which came with four chicken thighs, a generous serving of red beans and rice, plus two sides of your choosing. I chose to get the candied yams and the steamed cabbage (which has bell peppers and carrots in it), and was So very pleased with those picks.
I tell you, words can literally not even do justice to how absolutely INCREDIBLE that meal tasted!!! And with how much food was provided, I was so surprised that I managed to eat it all in one sitting! But there was just no way any of that yummy food was going to go uneaten today, hehe!! The chicken thigh meat was Sooo super tender and absolutely falling off the bone! Everything was superbly seasoned and wonderfully flavorful!!! It was just truly Such an absolute delight of a meal, that I actually made it a point to let the owner/cook know how exceptional everything tasted before leaving out!
I could really go on and on, but the moral of the story is this place is a MUST TRY!!! You will Not regret it At All! And as for my dine-in experience, it was really pleasant. There was lively island music/reggae playing that created an awesome vibe, plus lovely, hand-painted artwork on display, as well. And there’s both indoor and outdoor seating available, and the restroom was clean, too. However, it’s a great idea to place your order in advance of your arrival (20-30 minutes beforehand), so as to ensure there’s no wait to dig in. And, if the solo cook doesn’t quite hear you at the counter, you can do as I did and just call their phone number and make her aware that you’ve arrived to pick-up your order, and she’ll bring it right out.

What I liked: The food was fantastic! The flavor was rich, the portions were generous, and the to-go containers held up great nothing was runny or messy. Everything tasted fresh and well-seasoned.
What could improve: I originally ordered curry chicken through DoorDash, but the restaurant messaged me after ordering to say it wasn’t available. I ended up switching to beef stew but still received two jerk chicken plates instead. I didn’t mind too much because the food was delicious, but I had already ordered jerk for another plate, so it felt a bit repetitive.
Suggestion: If curry chicken isn’t available, it would be helpful to temporarily remove it from the DoorDash menu so customers aren’t confused or disappointed.

Okay now Fargo has found some flavor by way of Jamaica. The meat pies had the right mix of flavor so delicious then off to the oxtails so tender and full of flavor the rice was delicious. The curry Goat was also on point. The plantain was cooked perfectly. I will definitely be back. That Mac and cheese was pretty good, and cabbage was alright. Come support this new spot they have a nice atmosphere to welcome you.

I love Jamaican cuisine. I heard about this place so I had to give it a try. It was my first time, and I was truly excited until Not only I seen the price But until I receive my food, you get about 6 to 8 small pieces of oxtail. The rice was delicious. The mac & cheese was OK and the sweet potatoes were OK. I was not satisfied with a portion or the flavor. Unfortunately, I will not be going back there definitely not worth 28 dollars

From FL so I’m well aware of good Caribbean/Jamaican food. This place barely meets the mark. Like most, the prices are astounding but it’s the portions that don’t add up for me. $20+ for barely a lunch serving of food!! Ask for any extras prepare for the bare minimum or to pay extra for less than a oz of sauce to be given. This is the only actually stand alone Jamaican place in Fargo so they are in a lane of their own and how I presume they are still up and operating. The food is not bad just not worth the hassle or price. Definitely makes me miss home and actually good Jamaican cuisine :/

Just a quick comment on CJ the reviewer who gave this place 1 star. After reading several of his online reviews I’ve noticed a trend of not saying anything about the food. I found his reviews tedious, Karen-esque, and severely lacking in anything even close to useful information. I give CJ one star.

It was so delicious. I got the festival, oxtails rice& peas,cabbage and Mac & cheese. Customer service was amazing I will definitely be returning. The curry goat was so tender and flavorful out of this world.

My husband and I tried Tropical SPICE Caribbean Cuisine today. Oxtail plate with candied yams and Mac and cheese and he got the oxtail plate with cabbage and Mac and cheese – both came with rice and peas! Also got a beef patty and it was juicy with a good kick of spice. Delicious flavor! Definitely coming back. Happy we have some options of Caribbean food in FM now!
