This turned out to be a little Tropical Storm Smoothie Cafe, with plenty of opportunities to learn and improve some things. I am excited for the possibilities here. They haven’t been open very long, and it seems apparent they are still figuring some things out.
We had a limited-time Watermelon Mojito smoothie. They are flavorful and you can customize them, especially asking for less sugar or even doing a ginger substitute. The challenge here rests with the food items.
We got the Beach Club salad with a side of maple glazed sweet potatoes, and things were okay, yet for the price, the portion was left wanting. We could get a better salad at a Wendy’s, but you would miss out on the sweet side dish.
Next, we ordered a CaribbeanJerk Chicken wrap with a side of Jalapeño corn. The corn was tasty. The wrap tasted like rice with sauce. I opened the wrap to search for flavor and found about 4 small pieces of chicken. I showed the person at the counter and they said that they were learning. He would make another one for me.
Well, the next wrap had more chicken and didn’t look anything like my other one. It was flavorful, and I mentioned that as I was leaving saying it was good but lacked any of the pineapple sauce, black beans, and cheese. He discovered that he mistakenly made a Thai Chicken wrap for me instead.
I went back and got a new Caribbean wrap and it was really delicious. Added a picture too with the Kale & Apple Slaw.
Check out the pictures. It would be nice to go back and try some other food items, but for now if you are looking for an $8 smoothie, this might be a good place. The smoothie goes down to $5 if you order a food item. You might find a coupon to try things or download the app for a free smoothie for your next visit.

First time at a Tropical Smoothie Cafe. This location in Riverton is very convenient and opened about 2 weeks ago. I ordered the Beach Club salad and the Watermelon Mojito smoothie. For a little extra money I got the maple glazed sweet potatoes as a side. The salad was really yummy, with chicken and bacon and little crispy Parmesan cheese bits. The dressing had zing without being too spicy. I just wish there was more of everything in the salad. The container it came in wasn’t full. The Watermelon Mojito smoothie was nice and flavorful, the freshness of the mint was nice. The last 1/3 of the drink was so icy I couldn’t sip it through the straw. Maybe too much ice? I like how you can customize the amount of sugar that’s added. A big deal was made about the turbinado sugar they use. I think sugar is sugar, but maybe it’s better for you? Anyway, I asked for 1/2 the sugar in the smoothie and it was just right for me. Service is friendly; they are all new and learning, so be patient and smile.

I love that there is only one size smoothie, 24oz, it really simplifies the decisions.
I have some very severe allergies, strawberries and kiwi among them, and these folks had no issues adapting to my needs. Today was my second visit and they haven’t cross contaminated as I have truly had no allergies from their smoothies or food (which is rare for me even when restaurants are trying to avoid cross contamination for me) which in my opinion earns them a great review by itself.
Adding to this, the Santa Fe Quesadilla is amazing and easily competes with Taco Bell for quality, size, price and flavor. I didn’t get sauces with it or ask what they have, but it’s fantastic alone and with Taco Bell sauce packets I had at home 🙂
It’s been a year in the works since the sign went up for construction starting and they opened a week ago. It’s well worth the wait and absolutely my new favorite smoothie place.

Went to this location with work friends for a quick lunch at 11:30am. It wasn’t busy. The place was clean and quiet. Ordering was easy and quick. Food delivery was good. I ordered the Breakfast peanut butter sandwich and a peanut butter cup smoothie. It was good.

I ordered take out. The wrap was tasty, but tiny. Also, the Acai bowl was tiny, but frozen? I guess I will have to stick with Jamba Juice. Who wants a frozen acai bowl? Im not even sure what to say.

TSC is my favorite “fast food” place. It’s where I go to reward myself when I’ve done something hard or something I didn’t want to do. My favorite is the chia banana boost smoothie (with extra peanut butter!). I also love their hummus veggie wrapand several of their flatbreads. They have great vegetarian substitute ingredients.

Usually love this place but tonight was different. I got my usual chipotle chicken wrap and a smoothie and I got home and halfway through my wrap I bit into something hard and pulled out a large chunk of chicken bone/cartilage. When I called to report my discovery, the employee had 0 concern and when I asked if they were able to do anything about it he replied “I’m pretty sure that’s just how chicken comes”. Very disappointed with such response and lack of care. If I was a child i easily could’ve choked on such thing. I’m lucky enough I didn’t chip a tooth when I took a bite.
