This location has ongoing quality and consistency issues. Today’s Beach Bum smoothie (dark chocolate, no turbinado) was not blended properly, extremely thick, and had large chunks of ice, making it difficult to drink. After going back through the drive-thru, one employee was dismissive, but another employee stepped in and politely remade the drink, which I appreciated.
Unfortunately, this is not an isolated incident. I previously received a DoorDash salad with frostbitten, damaged lettuce that should never have been sent out, and on another visit I was given the wrong order entirely. While one staff member in the past acknowledged the problem and tried to help, the pattern of mistakes and uneven service keeps repeating.
Convenience shouldn’t come with questionable food quality or the expectation that customers must keep returning to fix errors. This store needs better quality control and clearer customer-recovery standards.

The two female associates who worked today we’re less than pleasant. We weren’t greeted upon entering the store and had to ask the girl if she was ready for my order. She wouldn’t acknowledge us until I asked if we could order. This happens regularly at this location. I would highly suggest the manager to either coach them on giving better customer service or fire them as this is a consistent issue.

It was my 1st time trying this place. I was on my way to a second job and I knew if didn’t get anything to eat now I would be able to eat later so I saw tropical smoothie and decided to try them out and I absolutely love it and I’ve been going back every since. Maybe a little too much lol I would definitely recommend this place. Their prices are very reasonable and the customer service is great

Just avoid this place! Terrible customer service. I placed an order for 4 smoothie totaling 40 bucks. The guy “Issac” throws them together and when I tell them they are terrible. He asked if I wanted another one. I proceed to give him the order but wants to charge me for the new smoothie. I threw out all the drinks and immediately asked for a refund. I used to live tropical smoothie but they have gone down hill in quality, service! Better off finding a small business to patronize. No wonder they have such low ratings

I recently visited the Tropical Smoothie Cafe at 380 University Dr. as part of a T-Mobile promotion, and it far exceeded my expectations! The staff was friendly and efficient, and the smoothies were incredibly fresh and flavorful. I tried the Bahama Mama, and it was the perfect blend of tropical fruits—super refreshing! The cafe was clean and had a great atmosphere, perfect for a quick and healthy snack. I’ll definitely be coming back, promotion or not! Highly recommend!

I had a really frustrating experience at Tropical Smoothie. I ordered three chicken quesadillas, and the cheese was completely unmelted. This wasn’t the first time either; the first time I went, my order was incorrect. When I returned, they gave me another quesadilla with chicken, but the cheese still wasn’t melted. Very disappointing and not up to standard!”

I order the turns on sandwich with extra turkey as well as sun chips. I received a sandwich that was paper thin and bbq chips not cheddar sun chips. I called them and they refused to help because I ordered it through door dash and said I needed to contact them.

This place is me and my husband’s favorite healthy place to eat at. However, everytime we eat there, we are always missing something. Today we ate there and got home and realized that we were missing a bag chips and there was ranch on my chicken wrap I said I didnt want. Last time, they gave us the wrong chips. We were tired and didnt want to drive all they way back down there. We have to constantly check behind them because its never right. Its fustrating

I got a hummus wrap, chia oatmeal pudding and detox island smoothie door dashed. The chia pudding is delicious, the smoothie is fine (tastes healthy but that’s the point so no problem there), but the hummus wrap wasn’t acceptable. I ordered it with no tomatoes and added chicken (which costs extra of course), neither was done. There was no hummus I could see/taste and consisted of 80% of tortilla and rice. Hardly any beans, decent amount of avocado and ranch but it was very disappointing and pretty expensive for what I got. I might return for a bowl or smoothie but will not be getting their actual “meal” items again.

I just left thos location ordered the turkey ciabitta no tomatoes bc I have a tomato allergy, I requested no tomatoes when i order the sandwich and asked again when I was given the sandwich at the window, she took the sandwich back and still when i got home i opened it up, and there’s tomatoes on the sandwich its a good thing I looked at the sandwich or i would have been in the ER tonight
