Josh and Mandy were great when we stopped in! They greeted us with a warm welcome and were quick to take our order after giving us a minute to look at the menus. The smoothies and açaí bowls came out very shortly after we ordered too! Both the bowls and the smoothie tasted delicious! Will be back again!!

Almost 30 minutes in the drive thru for 2 quesadillas and a smoothie. 10 of which it took just to get the smoothie. Barely anyone inside so not sure why these kind of waits are happening. Food was decent at least but not worth it next time. This is ridiculous.

I went in and was immediately given some of the best service I’ve ever received by a sweet girl named Metzli. I got what I ordered quickly and left with a smile on my face. I’m honestly more happy about the service than the smoothies itself. 11/10, would recommend!!

I stopped here to get the Chicken Chorizo Wrap that I really like but this location didn’t seem to have it. So I decided to try the New Acai Bowl instead. The Açai Bowl was pretty good and the ingredients were an acceptable 7/10 for freshness. But not only was the bowl pricey (like $2 more than their other bowls…) but they only had cheap plastic bowls & spoons for them. The cheap dishes really diminished the entire dine in experience. My daughter ordered a Pineapple & Coconut Smoothie which was good but they added banana to it so she wouldn’t even drink it.

As a smoothie connoisseur that has been traveling the world to find the best tasting smoothie this place caught my attention and had to go try it. LISTEN UP, INTERNET. I have something VERY important to say: There is a legendary human smoothie sorceress named Tabitha working at the Tropical Smoothie Cafe in Marion, lowa, and she is out here SAVING SOCIETY one delicious, frozen, tropical masterpiece at a time.
I walked in expecting a smoothie. What 1 got was a transformative, borderline spiritual experience that honestly made me question if I’ve been living life all wrong. Tabitha didn’t just make my smoothie — she crafted it. Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel, and Tabitha blended my Bahama Mama. SAME ENERGY.
You know that scene in movies where the clouds part and angels sing? Yeah. That happened when she handed me my drink. I swear I saw a double rainbow and felt the stock market go up just from that first sip.
Tabitha’s smoothie skills are so next-level, I’m convinced she has a degree in Culinary Alchemy. Her blender is clearly powered by sunshine, good vibes, and probably a few unicorn tears (ethically sourced, of course).
Also, she’s so nice it should be illegal. Like, how is someone that friendly before noon?? Are they putting serotonin in the peanut butter? Someone investigate.
Anyway, if you’re not going to this Tropical Smoothie and specifically hoping to catch Tabitha working, you re doing smoothies – and probably life – wrong.
10/10. Would move closer just to become a regular.

I came into the store in marion and the new girl named Sarah was the person who made my Bahama mama and wow she had the best customer service experience ive had lately!!!! She greeted me as soon as I walked into the store and she was so kind and so proficient with me from start to finish!! I usually go to the store in cedar rapids but because of how this employee treated me this will now be my new store!!!!!! And she even told me to have a blessed day! Which turned my day from bad morning to an amazing day!!!!
