I come to this location pretty often because I live in the area and for a while it was great. The customer service has gotten so poor it’s extremely scary I’m worried for the owner I had to come and make a review because of the constant attitudes from a lot of the employees messing up your orders and getting an attitude when you speak up & they have to remake it, or simply not remaking it also using your points without actually asking you first the list goes on. I would suggest if you’re going to go to Tropical Smoothie in Kalamazoo go yo the one on Westmain they are a little more better when it comes to customer service.

I ordered an Apple pie paradise smoothie, it wasn’t blended very well. There were pieces of ice and chunks of apple and it tasted nothing like it should. Very disappointing.

I literally just left this place like five minutes ago. The prices are reasonable, and it was very clean. Workers were very nice, something that doesn’t happen very often these days. I got the Bahama Mama smoothie. It’s so good! It’s got strawberries, white chocolate and a couple other items in it. I havent tried the food yet, but it sure sounds good! I go to Kalamazoo a lot and will return!

It was fine. I will certainly be back but it wasn’t the best experience. This was my first time at a Tropical Smoothie Cafe and while it won’t be my last, I may be hesitant to return. When we walked in, we were hit by a very pungent smell kind of like something was extremely burnt. It was very off-putting and definitely not something I wanted to smell first thing in the morning or when I’m about to eat. The smell aside, it was small but relatively pleasant inside. As a first timer here, the menu was extremely confusing and overwhelming with so many options to choose from and many of which seemed to be pretty expensive. I got the peanut butter crunch bowl for around $12 or so and while it was good and filling, it wasn’t the best. Even with banana, almonds, peanut butter, cocoa nibs, and honey, it still tasted pretty bland and for $12, though it filled me up, was a surprisingly small serving probably less than 2 cups for the whole thing. The service was excellent and I have nothing but good things to say about that. Overall, my first time wasn’t bad but it wasn’t anything to write home about.

The customer service at this place is a joke! I went in several times in the spand of two weeks and each time they were always rude, they respond as if your being there is a bother. Last straw today I went in said hello to a young lady no response, i then stood at the cash register and watched her make several smoothies and placing them in the freezer for pick up, mind you I’m the only customer inside the Cafe at that time, Each time she got ready to make another smoothie she would look at me and turn and begin to make another smoothie. Finally I decide to walk out of the store but not before asking the young ladies name she says ALLISON that’s it that’s all never says allow me to help you now, an apology or ANYTHING. I saw an earlier review that’s specifically stated her name stating she was nice to them, I’m convinced they are a relative because there is no way…. I’m aware good help is hard to find these days but this is ridiculous get rid of the crew and flies the drinks are great.

Rude staff. Curbside is not curbside you have to go and get it. Not sure why I am tipping someone to not bring my food to me and force me to bring my car seat bound child back and forth to the car 3 times to get my order.

This review is strictly regarding customer service. This was my first time at Tropical Smoothie. I was not greeted upon entry, however people were all working. Someone walked past me to the front because I wasn’t even sure where to stand or order. I didn’t think too much of it at the moment since people were working, yet surprised that the crew wasn’t more inviting. The young lady cooking the food was a great representation for the company.
I did pay extra for the sweet potato chips, they looked so good! Unfortunately they never made it back in the bag. I’m willing to give it another chance but I would be sure to double check your order before leaving.

Can’t acknowledge you when you walk in. I had to stand there and wait for 10 minutes while the workers just stared at me. Do better. AND without fail the past two times I’ve been in, I’ve ordered ranch with my food, and they give me the wrong sauce. If I have to pay $1.00 more for some sauce, I should get it.
