It’s unfortunate. But this situation deserves a 1-Star review, especially given how it was handled. PLEASE BEWARE of buying smoothies (ESPECIALLY FOR YOUR CHILDREN) from this location because in the late afternoon/early evening of May 27th, 2024, this location made and packed a smoothie that was filled with shards of glass in it that ended up being consumed to an extent by my Sorority sister and her grandson. This situation has posed to be a nightmare for them and this location also chose to deny and neglect the matters of this situation at hand. PLEASE LOOK AT AND READ THE PHOTOS BELOW THAT INCLUDES THE DETAILED STORY FROM THE CONSUMER.

The service is top tier at this location. I ordered ahead on the mobile app one day, as I usually do, and they happened to be out of something I wanted. They took the time to call me and let me know ahead of time and even offered me alternatives. Great staff and location.

Unfortunately, I didn’t end up ordering anything at this location. As I’m walking into the door to order the worker dropped a cleaning rag on the ground picked it up and started cleaning the counter tops, I mean really? How gross is that!

I just wanted share some disturbing information. On May 27, 2024 I went to the Southfield Tropical Smoothie, located on 29660 Southfield Rd to get a smoothie for my 3 yr old grandson and I to share. What we had was a smoothie full glass and spent a most of the night in urgent care and Children’s Hospital in Detroit. When I went back today to show them what came out of the smoothie, the manager, whom I failed to get her name just went off on me saying she didn’t know where I got that from but it didn’t come from there. Now before yesterday, this site was one of my go to spots. But not after endangering my grandson’s life and mine. Check out the photos. I am still mortified over this and what it could mean for my innocent grandson. If this isn’t neglegence, I don’t know what is.

I always come to this location but it’s usually through the drive thru. This particular location has a great drive thru and front house team. However I had to wait 30 minutes for something else I ordered because the back of the house (cooks, acai bowl, and sandwich maker) staff completely ignored the rest of my order.
