Açaí bowls are supposed to be blended and smooth, I believe they pre make these and freeze the base so it was really hard to eat, I had to let it thaw before eating and then my toppings weren’t very cold. For $10 I would’ve expected better. I prefer hippie bowls food truck, better quality in my opinion especially for the price.

The customer service and environment are both wonderful with reasonable prices and fast service, but the main reason why this place deserves 5 stars is because of the menu. The smoothies have always been fantastic and the food has gotten much better. They just introduced smoothie bowls and they taste so good! My favorite is the acai bowl with peanut butter.

I got an acai bowl for my wife this evening, and when she received it the acai base was frozen solid. I returned to the store, and the manager and staff told me that all the bowls are pre-made and to “wait 5 minutes” and try to eat it then. There was no offer to replace the unsatisfactory bowl with something she would like better. After several minutes, the base began to thaw, but it turned to icy chunks. There was no smooth texture as the name would suggest. The bowl was awful, and she could not eat it. Don’t get this overpriced and underwhelming bowl.

Usually great but not today! Between the pubic hair and the red cotton string and the little bits of rock this was the worst thing I’ve ever received. Seems like the driver (hoping it did not leave the restaurant this way) just scooped it up off of their car mat after they dropped it. This was one of these drinks the others were fine.

Tropical Smoothie is one of my favorite spots, and I visit often. However, after a recent visit to the Morristown location, I am deeply disappointed and will no longer be returning to this location when I visit again or recommending it to others.
I stopped by on my lunch break today and ordered my usual, an açai bowl with a substitution of bananas instead of blueberries (the bowl already comes with bananas, strawberries and blueberries, i simply just wanted extra bananas on the bowl instead of the blueberries). When I received my order, I noticed there were no extra bananas in the bowl, but instead, I was given a banana on the side. After giving them back the banana in confusion, I asked about it and was told that the banana was the substitution, and I could not have it added to the bowl because that’s not how a “substitution” works. This logic made absolutely no sense to me considering i’ve ordered this at every location I’ve ever visited and they’ve all done the same thing. I explained that I had ordered this many times before with the bananas in the bowl with no issue at other locations but the man who made it got extremely upset , absolutely refused to fix it and walked away.
I eventually just asked for the banana back so that I can just chop it up myself and left, feeling extremely disrespected by the situation and the way I was treated. To make matters worse, I called the store shortly after to address the issue, only to be hung up on. I paid nearly $20 for my entire order to be told to basically cut up my own banana in the bowl when that is what I originally ordered to begin with.
As a loyal customer, I expect better service, and I was shocked by how dismissive and unprofessional the staff were. I’ve always enjoyed Tropical Smoothie, but this experience has made me rethink my loyalty…

This is a pretty standard Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I have noticed they don’t have seran wrap over their apples like other locations. Staff is friendly, I appreciate they still served me when I entered near to close before Thanksgiving (I didn’t realize they were closing early!)

Love visiting this cafe! This cafe is very clean and neat! Staff is very friendly and helpful! Food is always tasty, along with the smoothies very good. Speed of service is fast! I always enjoy visiting this cafe!

I ordered a smoothie. The same one I always get from this store and others. Went to my car and took a drink. It did not taste right. It was very bitter. I stirred it and it was still not good. So I went back inside to ask for it to be remade bc it was bitter. The girl at the counter that made the drink said it’s probably the lime. I said no it’s not I order this drink all the time and this doesn’t taste right. So she gets one of the guys to come over and he just stares at me like I’m the problem and I told him I’d like for it to be remade. He went to get the manager maybe and he comes out and I told him it doesn’t taste right and I’d like it to be remade. He said ok. So the other guy remakes it and I told him thank you to which he replies with nothing. I went back to my car and tried it. It was delicious. The girl that originally made it needs more training or something. I am highly disappointed in how the interaction went down. It did not have to be like that. I was polite and they were not. Even if you hate people and/or your job you should pretend like you care.

I had an Acai Berry Boost smoothie and a Bahama Mama smoothie at the Morristown TN location. Both smoothies were delicious. The Bahama Mama smoothie give you choice of white chocolate or dark chocolate in it. I had it with the dark chocolate. My husband had a Beach Bum smoothie with dark chocolate instead of white chocolate. It was good, but not as interesting as the other smoothies.
