Came in with my Girlfriend to order(our first experience at a tropical smoothie), staff was having side conversations that seemed nothing to do with working. We ordered and the woman taking our order (maybe Lisa) had an attitude that was very unwelcoming. After we waited for our order 2 smoothies, She called out our order and while we picked them up I asked a “what is what” since there was once different between them and she replied VERY Rudely with an Attitude telling me that they are labeled…. the smoothie was definitely wayyyy to thick to drink… we will DEFINITELY CHOOSE ANOTHER LOCATION TO TRY AND HOPEFULLY A BETTER RESULT… would not recommend at all…

Terrible service, I came in to scan my QR codes from Tmobile for a free tropical smoothie OR bowl. The cashier scanned my code but then proceeded to say it was already used but it was cause SHE scanned it. Then she called the lady in the back,(who was super rude) the customers behind me saw what was happening and tried helping me but the kitchen lady rudely said “Im not talking to you guys im talking to her”. When all they did was try go help me. She was a dark skinned lady, I didnt get her name. I left very upset, terrible attitude and service I recieved today. Even the customers behind me chose to order online after they saw!

This was my 1st time trying Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I’m sad to say it’ll most likely be my last. I ordered an Acaí Bowl with extra strawberries, add peanut butter. I didn’t get the extra strawberries and I think because I added the peanut butter drizzle, I didn’t get the honey drizzle. ♀️ Also, the size for the price isn’t justifiable in my opinion. Only positive is it did taste good.

Came in a few months ago, and had two smoothies made. They tasted like water. Asked for them to be remade the lady on the register customer service was horrible, she proceeds to tell me they are not nasty because she made them and she knows what she is doing. Obviously not, requested a refund and still waiting on my $20 to be refunded. I guess I’ll never get it and it’s a headache to even go back in. I live close so I would love to come to this one, but it’s always hit or miss. I honestly drive to the south side location if I am really craving a smoothie because this one is a waste of money.

We have been going to this location since they opened. There new management is horrible staff is by far the worst I have ever seen. Food was so bad I just tossed it in the trash. Buffalo chicken wrap only had a couple small pieces of chicken. This is after I torn most of the wrap of to get to the chicken. Fire everyone and start over.

Our smoothies were delicious and my husband enjoyed his sandwich. However, this location does not allow employees to keep tips! Horrible practice, if I have great service and want to tip the worker who made my food I should be able to. Shame on this franchise.

MOLD ON MY BREAD. I ordered a turkey bacon ranch sandwich and a smoothie, got out to my car to eat and ate half the sandwich before realizing there was MOLD on it. Green hard MOLD. Then I go in to tell them there’s mold and the girl said “ok do you want me to remake it?” Like didn’t even care that there was mold on my sandwich. The restaurant is disgusting, there’s just food and nastiness everywhere. The girl making the smoothie, her hair was hanging in her face over the smoothies, everything is just UNSANITARY. I don’t normally leave bad reviews for places I give second chances but this is ridiculous. This location needs to be closed if they can’t get people who care about food safety to work there.

I was in Lakeland and wanted my Tropical Smoothie and the website wouldn’t work.Demyia Thompson answered your phone, I explained that I was physically challenged. And she said to call back if it wouldn’t go thru. I was frustrated and my phone rang, she called me back when she didn’t see my name on an order. She came out to my car and took care of me. We travel extensively and have eaten at Tropical Smoothies in at least 6 states. This location is hands-down the worst run, dirtiest store we have been to. The floors were covered in food scraps, the counter tops were greasy, dirty containers were on counters and shelves…and this was just what we could see standing at the counter! I suspect that if a Health Dept inspector paid a surprise visit, the place would be shut down for a few days. We made the mistake of placing an order before we realized the magnitude of the filth, and ending up throwing away some of it…out of fear of food poisoning. Really bad experience.
